We had dinner at this establishment. The food was served very quickly, the staff was polite and attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We ordered the risotto with osobucco. It was incredibly delicious. I couldn't finish my portion. The wines the waiter recommended were excellent! We received a complimentary limoncello. The carpaccio, beef balls, and salad were also delicious.

I'm writing this review today, after being there four times. The atmosphere is excellent, not crowded with too many tables. Not noisy, excellent service, and very friendly and professional staff. Superb cuisine (Frisian and Bavarian Florentine steaks, beef cheek, risotto, ossobuco, pasta dishes, and ribollita; these are the dishes we tried). The wine selection is equally excellent.

Always top notch, my daughter's confirmation, about twenty people, we were welcomed into the private room. We ate and drank very well and were served admirably. Above all, the caponata was truly special, and I personally loved the papardelle with lamb sauce.

Good place, excellent meat. But is it a Tuscan restaurant? No kidding. I can't forgive them for the treatment they meted out to those poor zucchini flowers and fried sage. Nor those poor beans, which were stewed, not cooked in a sauce.

03/10/2025: We had lunch yesterday with my wife, straight from Cagliari... we had a typical Milanese lunch based on Milanese risotto, ossobuco and cutlet... what can I say, everything was very good, accompanied by the kindness and professionalism of the staff
03/10/2025: A superbly refined restaurant in a prime location in Milan. The location is meticulously maintained, with a style reminiscent of old-fashioned trattorias. The dishes reflect Milanese tradition, slightly revisited with a more modern twist. The menu is extensive, including the wine list. The service was excellent, both in terms of service and wait time. I really appreciated the complimentary glass of wine offered by the waitress while waiting for our table. I found the prices very fair and in line with the city. If I have to be picky and find a flaw, I'd point out the rounding up of about 50 cents on the bill for each person at the table (there were nine of us). However, I want to point out that this doesn't change my opinion of the restaurant's quality, so I recommend it.

Al Garghet

22/11/2025: I visited Al Garghet restaurant on Valentine's Day, when the restaurant predictably reaches its peak. The high number of guests highlighted a structural limitation: the parking area, which is rather limited given the restaurant's popularity and capacity. Gastronomically, the offerings weren't entirely convincing considering the price. The traditional Milanese dishes, while respectful of classic recipes, were executed without any particular personality or flair. The famous "cotoletta del Garghet," considered the house's flagship, proved to be a good dish, but not one that justifies the high price. The location, however, is undoubtedly the highlight of the experience: the refined and evocative atmosphere contributes to a pleasant stay, distinguishing Al Garghet with its charm.
22/11/2025: I was there at the end of November, and the Christmas atmosphere was already in full swing with beautiful and elegant decorations and lights. The staff were knowledgeable and extremely friendly, and the traditional Milanese dishes were expertly prepared. Be careful with the small parking lot, which is well-managed, and arrive a few minutes early for peace of mind. I'll definitely be back.
