My wife and I stopped by this center and ordered two dishes from the famous pasta maker Giovanni Rana. Perhaps our expectations were a bit too high. The pasta Carbonara was average. I would have liked the bacon diced rather than sliced. The lasagna was solid. The price was reasonable.

Baita Pontara

22/08/2025: A truly charming little cabin, nestled in the middle of nature, overlooking expanses of meadows. Friendly staff. I recommend the amaretti and ricotta cake...a delight.
05/08/2025: We stumbled upon Baita Pontara by chance during a hike, without a reservation and well past lunchtime. The hosts, Carlo and Patrizia, even though the kitchen was closed, prepared a delicious platter of locally sourced cured meats and cheeses for us. Surrounded by greenery, the kind and welcoming hosts immediately made us feel at home. We'll definitely be back to try their dishes!
