5 stars because it's the best! A Padua institution! Since 1950! Everything is excellent, from the starters (outstanding gnocchi!), to the main courses (boiled/roasted meat trolley), to the desserts (spectacular). Average prices.

The gnocchi and boiled meat were very good... the staff were very helpful, we had to wait a long time between one dish and the next... but overall, very good!!!

Dinner with six friends. The restaurant is a Padua institution for boiled and roast meats, served "al carrello" and based on the customer's selection of available cuts (a wide variety). The starters and side dishes were also excellent (gnocchi, pasta and beans, and, of course, tortellini in exceptional broth). Water, house wine, and dessert and coffee were included. The only drawback: the room temperature is a bit low.

After many years, we returned to Giovanni's and had a truly wonderful time. The boiled meats and roasts were delicious and plentiful, and the seasonal side dishes were also very good. The only downside is that the decor hasn't changed.

I had dinner with a colleague at this restaurant, which was recommended to me by the hotel receptionist. I have to say it was the best choice. Excellent, fast and precise service, and the food was excellent, with fresh homemade pasta. Highly recommended.
