Today at lunch, there was a line like at the stadium! No further clues are needed to understand the quality of this place and the appreciation it has earned over decades of success. Everything was excellent: extraordinary gnocchi, delicious fillet steak, superb side dishes.
Back in July 2025: everything was even better, including the kindness of the staff! The gnocchi are always unimaginable, with a choice of toppings!

Recommended by our hotel for the meat trolley. Started with some delicious pasta and was able to have a half portion - all homemade with lots of chunky meat sauce. Then came the trolley - I had the roast one - and you are asked if you want a selection. I chose to skip the turkey and everything was delicious. I was especially surprised by the guinea fowl. Wife had a steak which was delicious and absolutely massive! Also really enjoyed the house frizzante which was rose.

I was there in 1980, I returned occasionally and then returned today (2025).
The tradition continues and I am satisfied and consoled by the idea of typical Venetian catering and a catering family.
For me, the restaurant can pass without any doubt, directly to the myth of classic and traditional Italian cuisine.
Well done! You have accomplished an "almost" impossible mission!!!

Rinomato e storico locale decentrato e comodamente raggiungibile, dispone di un ampio parcheggio privato. Il servizio è da sempre perfetto, il personale molto attento e cordiale. La pasta è fatta in casa (tagliatelle e gnocchi) e si può condire con una buona scelta di sughi (il ragù di carne al coltello è eccezionale). E poi i carrelli: il bollito e l'arrosto. L'eccellenza. Ottimi dolci, sempre presentati al carrello. Vini sia sfusi, che al calice, che in bottiglia. Prezzo adeguato.
Il migliore nel suo genere in città, senza dubbio.

Carne insuperabile, mi capita di rado che un ristorante riesca a non abbassare mai la qualità. Da Giovanni è così, i carrelli dei bolliti e degli arrosti sono incredibili, ma anche i primi non sono da meno.
