Lovely place, but sadly it did not live up to its location for the quality and price of the food. I ordered meatballs from the Pasta section, assuming I would have pasta with my meatballs, but instead I only received 5 meat balls in a like warm tomato sauce. My partners burger was a a larger meal and better value but again, nothing to write home about. I ordered a grande beer and received a standard size and my partners cappuccino was cold on arrival, making it extremely difficult to recommend this place, unfortunately.

This is the best Italian restaurant in Essen. Go ahead, try it out! I live in Australia now, but every time I'm back in Germany I go here almost every other day (live around the corner). Salman and his crew bring the best food to the table and have become very good friends 👍🏼

My kind of place.
A bit old school Italien...no burgers or fries on the menu.
The food and the service are excellent.
We got lucky and walked in and got a table for two.
Recommend making a reservation if you don't want to miss the experience.

Great location, friendly staff. Arrogant cashier. Kitchen....from the time we finished the starter to the arrival of the first course, 41 minutes passed. They replied that this is the case on holidays, so if they can't satisfy customers on holidays it's better to close

Expensive restaurant but you can expect it near the Pantheon. Food is fine, just small doorman. The downside is the speed of the service. I had to wait 15 minutes for my drink and then another half hour for the food.

Absolutely recommended!
During our stay in Rome in August, we took a trip to the Ristorante Fortunato al Pantheon based on a recommendation and were thrilled. The typical Italian dishes were not only delicious, but also perfectly prepared - a real culinary delight. The service was first class and very attentive.
The ambience was simply great: tablecloths down to the floor, real candles, cloth napkins, and the waiters in classic tailcoats - a beautiful mix of elegance and tradition. The air-conditioned rooms were particularly pleasant, as they were a real blessing when the outside temperature was +40 degrees.
A culinary highlight in Rome that we can only recommend to everyone. We'd love to come back!
