Regular customer of Ciccio for some time now, every time is always a guarantee. The place is very simple like the cuisine of Elena and her staff, but full of flavours. I love artichoke carpaccio as well as fried ones. Starters of high-quality cured meats accompanied by homemade focaccia. Very good game first courses, as are the meat tartare. Ciccio is the added value of the restaurant, always prepared in describing the dishes and attentive to the needs of the customer in the dining room. Prices in line with the products offered. Generous portions. I highly recommend it.

I waited a little to give my opinion because I tend to want to try a restaurant at least twice before expressing my opinion and in this case I went back for more than four.
The reason is very simple, courtesy, location, excellent quality food and prices aligned with the proposal offered.
In a period in which the prices of a dinner or lunch in a restaurant have skyrocketed while the quality of what you eat has dropped considerably, finding a place where you can eat honest cuisine, drink excellent wine, find a attentive and courteous service and paying a more than honest bill is not a given.
The fact that it won the Four Restaurants is not that important, what really matters is that at Ciccio you enter home and immediately feel good.
The hut is not a place you just end up in, it is a small pearl that deserves to be looked for and finally found in the middle of the Acquapendente countryside!
I went as a couple, I brought friends, I brought family and everyone was thrilled.
We will be back soon because Ciccio, his wife Elena, an attentive cook who I had the pleasure of meeting and all the staff, have now become like a second family
Well done, good, good.

The Da Ciccio a la Campanaccia restaurant is located in an open countryside area, not far from Castel Viscardo. This makes it the ideal place for those who want to get away from the frenzy of the city and enjoy a dinner immersed in the tranquility of nature. Upon arrival, we were greeted with great friendliness by the owner Ciccio, who immediately made us feel at ease.
There were four of us and we started our dinner with the Campanaccia appetizer, a hearty dish full of typical cured meats and local cheeses, which immediately highlighted the quality of the raw materials used. For first courses, we opted for a truffle carbonara, which turned out to be excellent: the bacon was crunchy at the right point, while the flavor of the truffle enriched the dish without overpowering the other ingredients. We also tried a cacio e pepe, prepared to perfection with the right creaminess and a pasta with pesto, ordered for the child, which was equally appreciated.
For the second course, we chose a grilled pork steak, cooked to perfection and very tasty. As a side dish, we accompanied everything with thinly cut French fries, which were decidedly crunchy and tasty.
To end the meal, we tried lemon tiramisu, mango sorbet and a berry yogurt. Each dessert was fresh and well-balanced in flavour, a perfect end to an already excellent meal. To drink, we ordered two bottles of water and two small Coca-Colas.
A special mention goes to the girl who served us, always friendly, competent and nice, helping to make the experience even more pleasant.
The only negative aspect to report are the insects, both flying and terrestrial, that wander around.
Overall, a really very good experience that we highly recommend.

Excellent staff and service.
Homely environment inside and outside.
Good raw materials, but not excellent.
Savory bill: 1 appetizer divided into 3, half portion of venison cured meats (3 slices of salami and 3 of ham), 2 courgette flowers, 1 supplì, 1 ravioli with ricotta and wild herbs with scottona ragù, 1 fettuccine with ragù of scottona (which should have been with sauce, but arrived plain), 1 "summer" amatriciana (guanciale, onion, fresh red and yellow cherry tomatoes), 2 desserts, no coffee, no bitters. Total for 2 adults and 1 8 year old child €98.

Price quality without comparison... at Ciccio you eat and drink well, the girl who waits at the tables is very kind but above all very prepared to explain the dishes and give advice. Pappardelle with venison ragù (see photo) very good!! Recommended, a must-do if you are in the area!!
