Eating at Celso is always a joy for the food, the environment and the courteous kindness of the service combined with an excellent quality/price ratio.

Good place to share home cooking with friends. I highly recommend the Russian salad and the gnocchi with melted cheese: truly excellent! The courses consisted of 4 starters, 3 first courses and 3 second courses of your choice, water, wine, dessert (exquisite) and coffee for a total of 28 euros. I was really satisfied! It is advisable to book.

I returned after a few years, excellent first and second courses and generous portions. The starters were less tasty and the Russian salad served too cold. However I will return.

Good traditional cuisine but a little expensive.

Unfortunately very disappointing experience. This piola is often sponsored and reported as historic by numerous online and offline guides, so we had fairly high expectations. It's certainly not the first place I've eaten, which is why I think I can say a few words about it. The starter was unfortunately very poor. The portion of peppers with bagna cauda consisted of 3 strips of pepper with literally 3 drops of bagna cauda. Same thing for the vitello with tuna sauce, which was far too thin and with very little tuna sauce. The agnolotti had an extremely liquid sauce, in which the melted butter seemed to clearly prevail over the meat base (almost absent). The only positive note is the cheese gnocchi. It may have been a particular and eventful Saturday (and therefore a sad coincidence), but based on what we had heard we expected much better.
