The food was very good, even with a complimentary appetizer (that's how it works at dinner, from what I understand). The place is very basic; the insect found in the vegetables was a big mistake (definitely an oversight).

I'm not just reviewing the place because they're historic and don't need publicity in the area—quite the opposite! I'm reviewing it primarily because I want to let them know that they welcomed us so warmly today, gradually bringing us so many different, delicious, and extremely comforting dishes. I remember lunches and dinners here when I was little, and it was a return to a place that has all its charm and dishes that are hard to find. The food and service are both carefully crafted, and the service is truly kind and attentive, and I want to commend them once again! Thank you! Superb value for money!

It's an institution, period. Criticisms about the filth, the lack of a sign, and the poor wine might be justified, but they're shattered by the authenticity of the place and its owners. The food is excellent, and even amidst the chaos, there's never a lack of greetings or a word of encouragement. For me, it's a small, enduring heritage of humanity, and I'm always happy to return.

The atmosphere is simple and slightly retro, the hospitality is excellent, and the food is top-notch!
