After a bit of a line, we ate at Attilio's, on the recommendation of a Neapolitan friend (many of the people seated were locals, which was already a positive sign!). What can I say? The Margherita pizza and fried pizza were superb. The place is decorated with walls covered with pictures left by tourists! Very good, fast service, and reasonable prices.

Everything was really special, shame about the tiramisu which wasn't that good, the rest of the fried food and pizza deserved an A+.

Really excellent pizza for a good price - felt very authentic and we left full and happy. Efficient staff; we felt welcome but they didn’t hang about (they are trying to accommodate as many people as possible so it isn’t a place to linger). We got there around 7.30pm and only had a short wait to get a table inside.

Very good pizzas with star-shaped specialties. You have to be a little patient to get a table, but that's part of the experience. The service and the owner are missing a few smiles.

Discovered it on the advice of the guide du routard and I understood why after eating there! These are the best pizzas I ate during my trip to Naples. The menu is varied but remains simple for excellent quality. The dining room testifies to the history of the restaurant in a very Neapolitan atmosphere. All just a few meters from the pizza maker. Go there with your eyes closed if you are passing through Naples.

Locals spot, seemed like we were only tourists. It was recommendation from a local that worked at our hotel and it was spot on. American that spent 3 weeks in Italy eating pizza on vacation this was best in show. Dough cheese veggies had flavor you don’t experience in US even dough in Manhattan. Go here if you are in Nápales. Very inexpensive. Pizza oven, brick, pumps out Pizzas in minutes. If there’s a line wait It doesn’t take long. They only do one thing. It’s pizza. Nothing else on the menu, and for good reason.

They don't take reservations, but they put you on a list and you have to wait a bit. We came in July and waited about half an hour, and it was so worth it. The pizzas are delicious and very cheap! And the tiramisu is amazing! We ordered the Margarita and the Carnavale.

22/06/2025: Promise kept. We have verified that yes, the dishes respect tradition. Very good and well prepared dishes. Excellent service. We will return for the traditional pasta and potatoes.

From the moment I walked into Hosteria La Tradizione, I felt warmly welcomed—with a glass of Prosecco and a perfectly crisp pacchero fritto as an aperitivo. A great start that only hinted at what was to come. Gennaro, the host, is a true gem—extremely knowledgeable about wines from every corner of the world and passionate about pairing them thoughtfully with each dish. I started with an exceptional beef tartare, followed by a beautifully cooked steak served on pietra lavica (lava stone), which added both flavor and flair to the experience. The evening ended on a high note with a unique and memorable dessert: blue cheese infused with dark chocolate, paired masterfully with a Falanghina passito. An unexpected and delightful combination. Special thanks to Chef Giovanni and Giusy for their creativity and attention to detail. Every element of the meal had a personal touch that made it feel special. Highly recommended if you're in the Napoli area—this is a place that celebrates tradition, innovation, and hospitality all in one.

06/07/2025: Pleasant experience. Good food especially the first courses, a bit minimal appetizers. Efficient service. The road leading to the restaurant is very inconvenient but there is parking. However recommended.
06/07/2025: I booked this place because of the positive reviews and it turned out to be a great discovery. Moderate prices and high quality, divine first courses. Excellent service and not too long to wait since there were quite a few people. The place is modern and very welcoming. The only flaw is the dark and dirt road to get to the restaurant, since you go through an internal road and the signs are not very clear, with the car it is a bit difficult to get through and especially to park. All in all I highly recommend it! We will be back
