Da Alighiero In Anghiari

Traveling through central Italy and wandering the streets of beautiful Anghiari, I stumbled upon this place by chance. I found the authentic Tuscan osteria, just what I was looking for. A wonderful experience. Excellent food. I'll be back...🍷

What can I say... The owner is not very friendly.... And the POS doesn't work, cash only.... Good dishes make up for it, even if the prices aren't in line with the quality.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal at Da Alighiero. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Highly recommended and will return before we leave Anghiari.

Passion and professionalism style.

After an evening spent here, I'm ashamed to say that, despite being from Anghiari, I'd never been to Alighiero's! A divine experience...I absolutely want to return! An enchanting place...it feels like being in a cellar, surrounded by bottles of wine and various antiques, yet maintaining a refined and elegant style. Gianni, the owner, is the soul of the restaurant...a friendly yet professional host...he explains each course in detail and knows how to best recommend dishes based on your personal tastes. Silvia's cuisine is sublime; I highly recommend the chicken liver salad with Vin Santo and the suckling pig in date sauce, which literally enchanted me! What can I say...I can only reiterate that this is a place I absolutely want to return to! Highly recommended!

Fantactic owner, fantastic food. Unique place.

We had the three pasta sampler, one better than the next. The turkey with sweet potatoes and carrot ketchup was out of this world, delicious, highly recommended. For desert we had panna cotta, so light and wobbly, outstanding! Looking forward to coming back someday.

The food is made with excellent ingredients and prepared simply but very tasty. The price is fair for what you get. Highly recommended.

The "Michelin Foodie" award (not to be confused with Michelin stars!) and the very cozy atmosphere lured us to this restaurant on our day trip. The half-hour wait until opening was definitely worth it! The German chef not only cooks excellently, but also offers excellent advice with her warm and friendly manner. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, not only from a culinary perspective, but will definitely return when we're in the area again. The thought of the Tuscan steak still makes my mouth water.
