Delicious food and great hospitality. Among other things, we ate wonderful stuffed zucchini flowers and tortelli with aubergine cream and bacon which was divine. We split the flowers in two, and so that we would then have a fair experience, they offered us an extra flower instead. Eating there was an art experience, because of the delicious food and nice hospitality from the staff and the price was affordable even for a student. Highly recommend.

We came to this restaurant because it was listed among the 10 best in Florence on Trip Advisor and I must say that it was the best choice we could have made. I am vegan while my partner is omnivore and it is always difficult to find a place that meets the needs of both. Well we ate DIVINELY in this restaurant. The owner was GREAT! Very kind. He made us sit down and offered us an appetizer with two glasses of panzanella and then a small bowl with a taste of delicious vegetable cream! I ordered the carrot spaghetti with vegetable cream, Taggiasca olives and cherry tomatoes… one of the best vegan dishes I've ever eaten in my life! Delicious, light, so much so that my omnivorous companion was delighted! He was undecided between the octopus and the tartare, so the owner offered to make him a portion of both so he could try them. Plus we ordered some baked potatoes.. special!! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. When the prawn tartare arrived, my partner didn't like it, not because of the dish itself (which was extraordinary), but because he had made a mistake, he doesn't like prawns. So the owner sent him a beef tartare which he scarfed down in 3 seconds! Everything was accompanied by sauces and above all by Tropea onions, so good that I would have bathed in them! Plus we ordered two glasses of Chardonnay, organic, very tasty and which went down like water! A pleasure! Limoncello to finish the evening and €54 bill. Beyond the wonderful quality of the dishes we ate, the place is really beautiful, the proletarian very kind, friendly and there were options for vegans, vegetarians, omnivores and even celiacs! In short, we couldn't have done better, if there were 10 stars I would give them! Compliments to the chef, SUPER! I invite everyone to go to this restaurant if you are in Florence!

Although it was about a 10-minute walk from tourist attractions, it wasn't tourist-priced, and it was a very comfortable bistro with smiling staff. Even if you don't understand Italian, there is an English menu, so you can order whatever you want. Also, the staff is very kind and listens to your orders. The presentation and taste of the food was really delicious. Since I came back to Japan, I have already recommended it to people around me. Florence is a huge tourist destination and the people are very noisy, but this Bistro is located in a very quiet location and will help you relieve the fatigue of your travels. Grazie mile.

Unexpected dinner: from the website and the menu the dishes are gourmet but in practice they turned out to be enjoyable and homely. Friendly and accommodating host, he made us feel at ease straight away. We start with bubbles and tomato soup and then continue with wine by the glass (satisfactory) and courses served quickly despite the small kitchen, a table of 12 people and only two people at the stove. Note of merit for the prawn risotto: satisfying portion and intense flavour. Even for the other dishes, portions are more than fair. Price in line with what is offered, even without the fork discount. Selection of desserts by Luca Mannori, one of the best pastry chefs on the plain. Get it because it deserves it!

Hands down the best dining experience I have ever had. My wife and I went here on our trip to Florence and this is the one place and stop we will never forget. The owner paired each of our courses with the most amazing wine pairings that complemented the best Italian food we have ever had. Such an amazing night, it’s places like this that make food exciting. Cant say thanks to the owner enough, this is definitely a must stop place to experience Italian food and Florence culture. Here’s what we had (each course started with a different organic wine from Italy): Bread with a tomato spread Stuffed zucchini flowers Squid ink and fish pasta Wild boar with veggies Truffle pasta 7 chocolate dessert

Se loved our meal here! Probably the best meal we had in Florence … generally keeping around that price point. I loved my steak and we had an incredible pasta.

Santa Elisabetta

12/08/2024: In Florence, I got super lucky in that Santa Elisabetta was a 5 min walk from my hotel, and that they had reservations available the next day for lunch, so I booked a table for one. The restaurant is located in a tiny space (just 6 tables) within a 13th century stone tower. There was only one other person in the restaurant during the entire duration of my meal - which meant that both my server and the 'overall server' were pretty focused on us the entire time. My server even escorted me up to the restaurant once I arrived at the location. I don't mean to sound too hyperbolic, but it feels like I ascended to a higher plane of existence when it comes to dining. I ordered the Carte Blanche option, which was a 3 course tasting menu of whatever the chef chose from the main dishes. The meal consisted of 7 separate sections, each with their specific parts. Firstly, it started with an amuse bouche, which consisted of 5 separate small dishes - there was chicken liver, prawn, oysters, and so on. It was in this very first meal that I realized I was going to have a meal that far exceeded the quality of anything that I've had before. Next, the bread came out, and this bread was just astounding. I was seeing types of bread I've never seen before. My favorite part of this was what looks like the focaccia, with lardo on top. The first main course was raw red prawns and caviar. It was my first time trying caviar, which I absolutely loved Next came what might be the best food I've had in my life - a spaghetti made with 3 different types of algae butter, and sea urchins. I can't even describe how good this pasta was - from the noodles, to the meat, to the natural, earthy flavors Before dessert, there was a mood cleanser of hibiscus tea and chocolate mousse. Dessert consisted of yogurt froth, kiwi, and namaleka, and was so good it exceeded a melt-in-your-mouth feeling. I thought I was done at this point, but they brought out another set of 5 smaller pastries - compliments of the pastry chef. These included a pistachio cream lollipop, french biscuits, madeleine, and more The cost of the Carte Blanche that I ordered was 159 euros, and I also got a glass of champagne for 25 euros I spent over 2 hours at this restaurant - way longer than I thought it would actually be. Like I said, this was my first fine dining experience of any kind, so I really had no idea what to expect. I was absolutely blown away by this experience and consider it to be 100% worth the money. For me - this felt like every single part of this experience was perfect. Everything I ate here was a massive step above any food I've had in the past. The quality is unreal. The variety is unparalleled. There are ingredients used here that I've never seen before - and stuff I didn't even know was edible. The amount of different food I got to try was like nothing I've experienced before. I left the restaurant incredibly full and completely satisfied Overall, this is an all-time experience. 10/10
