Consigliata da un amico che abita in zona. Ambiente accogliente e arredamento molto originale. Menù vario e ben curato. Piatti tipici e non ma tutti cucinati con materia prima eccellente e rispettando le tradizioni come le polpette al sugo o il tiramisù. Anche la carta dei vini presenta una scelta curata. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

I gladly returned to this little gem last night with some friends, and found only confirmations.
The place is very welcoming, the atmosphere is warm and familiar. Francesca, owner and maitre d', is kind, very helpful and manages to convey all the love she has for her place.
The raw materials are of a high standard and the dishes are well conceived and well made. The cuisine is express, this can lengthen the service time a little, but it is certainly worth it, especially when sj is in good company.
The wine list is good, with a measured and attentive offer.
Prices appropriate to the offer.
Special mention for the background music.

Nice and welcoming place. Friendly and helpful staff.
The menu is a little limited in choice but the dishes are all very good and with excellent quality raw materials.

I invited my friends to dinner at this place, whose menu I had seen on the fork. In reality, the menu they presented to us was completely different, with few courses and almost all fish-based (it wasn't what we were looking for). Despite everything, we ordered and ate well-cooked dishes. The service did not satisfy us: the waitress was not very friendly, was unable to give us advice and caused us anxiety when ordering. Prices too high, especially for water and bread.

La cucina del mercato, è un bel ristorante, in una traversa di via Appia Nuova. Accogliente, arredato con gusto e piacere dei particolari.
La proprietaria, molto gentile, è prodiga di utili consigli. I piatti che abbiamo consumato erano tutti di qualità e cucinati con ingredienti scelti con cura, come ci hanno spiegato. Siamo capitati nei giorni prima di Natale e il ristorante era simpaticamente e gioiosamente addobbato

It is a not very large place with few seats. The atmosphere is vintage and you may like it or not, but in effect it conveys that moment of relaxation and home cooking. If you go out for dinner expecting to spend 30 euros, this is not the place for you. They tell you at the table that the cuisine is expressive and that they use quality ingredients. For example, the fish is not farmed. After all, it's like this in catering: you make a plan and choose a target. Therefore, with two courses, a dessert and a glass of wine you reach 50 euros. If you like this type of treatment, I recommend it. Tried the spaghetti with grouper which arrived with the right cooking point and I also want to mention an abundant tiramisu which was truly balanced in flavour.
