Crotto Quartino In Piuro

Disappointed, the first time I bought bresaola from them it was perfect. I ordered it from the shop and this piece arrived.

We'd always been looking for a place to eat near Chiavenna. We found it, perfect, everything!

The only flaw is the timing; you're very tight if you want to do a few more. Very nice place, I was at the top. I think the chimney would have been very nice if it were completely open on the sides, but I think another chimney flue goes through below.

I've been to this place several times over the years, even before the renovations a few years ago... The quality has been consolidated over time, and that means professionalism! The dishes are well-prepared and plentiful; the staff is friendly and smiling. My only disappointment is the torta fioretto and Prosto biscuits, as they aren't the best I've ever tasted! Dog-friendly and recommended.

While on a motorcycle ride, recommended by a friend, we stumbled upon Crotto Quartino. The fireplace in the middle of the room was truly beautiful and helped warm the atmosphere and the spirits. The food was all excellent, though it's a shame about the limited choice of starters. The service was super friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back to try the ribs. Must try, highly recommended. Top.

We went here with a group of friends (about 11–12 people) for two lunches, in two different years (2024 and 2025), just before Christmas. The place is very beautiful and the menu is interesting: revisited traditional cuisine, such as the pizzoccheri bianchi with gnocchi, which are truly delicious. The first time, everything went well, from the organization to the food. The second time, however, the appetizers were poorly managed. The waitress, very nice and kind, told us, "Trust me, I'll take care of it," but 12 baskets of sciatt and numerous platters of cured meats and cheeses arrived. The result was that we were already full and had barely tasted the first course; we had to take half of the appetizers home. Overall, the place is still good for the quality of the food and the location, but with large groups, it would be better to agree on quantities and courses to avoid waste and fully enjoy the experience.
