Small place in typical Swiss way of life. Better to opt for outside if the weather permits. In my opinion it is a little too gourmet to be called crotto (even if it has one). The food is excellent and not at all abundant: prices accordingly.

Very beautiful place surrounded by nature in Piuro a few kilometers from Chiavenna. The environment is very nice and quite large with seats inside and outside... their Crotto can be visited and you can buy their products (wines, cheeses, bresaola, honey, liqueurs and grappa). Really excellent cuisine. Menu composed of very few dishes but all of quality. The starter is very good with their bresaola, their cheeses and their bastard salami accompanied by a sweet and sour red cabbage salad and buckwheat pancakes stuffed with cheese. The white pizzoccheri typical of Valchiavenna (different from those of Valtellina) are exquisite. Remarkable are the pork ribs served with sausage or potatoes or taragna polenta. Good desserts. Excellent quality wine that I also recommend buying. Friendly, quick and precise service. Absolutely a place to try...and to return...challenging the calories🤣😂. It is best to book 4-5 days in advance. More than good quality/price ratio.

All very good. The choice for lunch is limited. Plus they no longer had the legendary Tiramisu

Typical place in Valtellina, very welcoming, very professional staff. The dishes are plentiful and tasty. We can see that the kitchen has undergone research to offer the best to its customers. You can eat by ordering à la carte or a set menu to taste the various typical local products. I highly recommend it.

The food is very good, the service is attentive, the rooms are valuable and beautiful. But: If you are looking for a rustic Ticino grotto, you have come to the wrong place. Everything is stylish, the menu is written on the paper placemat, you can win a discount if you register for the newsletter, salt and pepper are in paper bags instead of in mills.
