Beautiful location, all wood and stone, with windows that allow for stunning views of the landscape!
The typical Valchiavenna dishes are truly delicious: delicious gnocchetti, excellent sciatt, and even the beef stew with taragna polenta was exceptional!
I recommend everyone stop by after taking a stroll under the beautiful AcquaFraggia waterfalls, as the crotto is just steps away!
The staff were knowledgeable and friendly.
To top it off, we even got to visit the crotto and drink some genepì.

The place isn't particularly large (reservations are recommended), but it's very, very original, as it's a typical crotto. (Ask the owners to show you inside, where they mature the various cheeses, cured meats, etc.) As for food and wine, it was very good; I'd say everything we ate was good. Prices were average for other restaurants. It's worth a visit.

Crotto del Fuin is surrounded by greenery near the waterfalls! They allow dogs, which we were very pleased about! The owner of the Crotto is very kind and attentive to her customers, even though the place was very busy! The dishes are fresh, tasty, and plentiful! The kittens that roam around the crotto are delicious! A unique experience, we'll be back!

Chiavenna Valley cuisine. Generous portions and well-seasoned. A classic local crotto at the foot of the Acquafraggia waterfall. Attentive and fast service. On weekends, only the four set menus are served, but they're not at all touristy. We came in hungry and left completely full and satisfied. €40 each, but well worth the money. Oh, and we added two portions of sciatt.

The food is really good, but be careful, you have to book well in advance, otherwise you risk not getting a seat.
In the restaurant you'll also find a free-roaming kitten, the owner of the restaurant 😂
