The risotto was terrific, but the service was subpar. They wouldn't let us sit at empty tables facing the lake because they thought it was "too late." They encouraged us to order a horrible house wine, the origin of which they couldn't explain.

Unbeatable location right on the lake with a beautiful view and private parking. Unfortunately, the service was abysmal, with very inattentive and unfriendly staff in our part of the restaurant. We also sat on the terrace facing the street, with street noise directly behind the fence. The food was mediocre at best. Some dishes were great, others average. All ingredients were fresh and regional, and the wine list was fantastic. We skipped dessert because it just wasn't enjoyable. The bottom line is, it was completely overrated.

We had a fantastic dinner at Crotto Dei Platini for our 1 year wedding anniversary! The view and the food is spectacular. We had the White Fish Tartare with Black Truffle, the Rich Fresh Egg Pasta with Acid Butter and Umbria’s Black Truffle, the Roasted Lamb Rack, and the Warm Chocolate Cake (pictures below). All 4 courses were absolutely delicious. So good that we savored every single bite. I will be dreaming about this meal and the views for the rest of my life. I highly recommend eating here! Also, if you’re staying in Bellagio like we did, highly recommend having Bellagio Charter take you to and from dinner. Truly the best experience!

A wonderful experience, my wife and I, a wonderful evening. The staff was very attentive, I never had a chance to refill my glass, either wine or water. The appetizers were delicious, the first courses were good—I say good because, as I'm used to, the pasta was a little overcooked—and to finish, the lamb was truly special. For all this, thanks to the waiter Marco, well done. The location was truly unique and spectacular.

Took my parents and my girlfriend for a lovely dusk dinner. Cant fault the views: it’s nestled in a little depression beside the Via Statale, totally on its own there, has its own pier (we chose to take a boat to the restaurant), as do most other guests, and has broad views looking north up Como. Pretty staggering. The service (Marko) was exceptional - thoughtful, friendly and attentive without being overbearing (and just enough flirting with my mum…). The food was good, local, game and lake-fish heavy - but the only area they fell at all short. My mushroom tart was pretty soft and squishy (technical terms), and the tagliata di manzo was a little tough. The pasta (we had the crab ragú and duck papardelle) was absolutely delicious, however.

Un locale storico del nostro lago che conosco da tantissimi anni e che avevo frequentato nella mia ormai lontana gioventù. Da allora è ovviamente cambiato ; da crotto rustico a locale elegante e raffinato. Location con vista sul lago impagabile, ambiente elegante ma sobrio, personale gentile ed accogliente, una carta raffinata , qualità del cibo eccellente presentato in modo impeccabile. Prezzo assolutamente adeguato.

Ne avevo sentito parlare, ma non c’ero mai stato. Posto molto bello, elegante e curato. Ottimo il servizio, eccellente la materia prima, abbiamo mangiato molto bene. Consigliato.
