Ci siamo arrivati lungo la ciclabile che sale da Chiavenna
Bella posizione lungo il Mera.
Abbiamo mangiato fuori sotto un ombrellone anche se ci sarebbe piaciuta vedere l'interno, visto che siamo veneti e non abbiamo mai visitato un crotto
Abbiamo preso come primo piatto i pizzoccheri, che abbiamo trovato ottimi e abbondanti
Di secondo abbiamo optato per il misto piota e non ci è piaciuto proprio: la salsiccia, un solo pezzettino a testa era così così, ma le costine non avevano un buon sapore, sembravano lessate e le verdure di contorno poco abbondanti. Peccato
Le tavole erano tutte occupate e il personale è risultato competente e gentile

Highly recommended, we had dinner with typical dishes, a tasting of brisaola, an encore of truly fabulous pizzoccheri first courses and gnocchi, the cut was tender and tasty and finally a tasting of mixed cheeses.
The manager and staff are very kind and professional. Definitely coming back.

A typical Crotto restaurant in the Chiavenna valley. We had lunch as a group with outdoor tables overlooking the river. Unfortunately the heat reigned supreme, but the menu was excellent. We will return when the weather is cooler.

Good food, apart from the bread which was absolutely not worthy of being brought to the table. Very good taragna polenta and also the house wine. We ordered 2 portions of polenta taragna but only one bowl arrived which, we discovered later, when it was almost finished, contained the two portions 🤷🏻♀️

Pizzoccheri really good also the Chiavenna gnocchi with average ribs. From there, with a three km walk you reach the center of Chiavenna... very nice!!!

Had lunch outdoors. Few well cooked dishes. Sciatt delicious, the pizzoccheri excellent, the polenta (little cheese) both with mushrooms and ribs. Apple pie, and their sage and lemon distillate is very digestive. Fair price (€64 for two)

Sulle sponde del fiume Mera, tra il rumore dell’acqua e la natura abitata, c’è una veranda coperta di tavoli in pietra dove il clima da sagra è già festa. Piatti tipici della tradizione locale, serviti in maniera semplice e amichevole. Pochi lussi e molta semplicità. Il costume del luogo è una cena tra amici, tra baccani umani e cani che abbaiano. Prezzi onesti.

For those looking for a quiet place, you can find it here. A crotto rich in local culture, where the dishes, in their simplicity, communicate an ancient value, and convey all the humanity of a border people accustomed to respecting the traveller.
The music of the river, which gurgles alongside the garden, completes the pleasant and relaxing experience led by the owner and all the staff, who give their insight into the selection of local cheeses. Cheeses, which do not have high-sounding names (sometimes too commercial) but are the result of research and good taste.
Everything dosed to measure, you feel full without being weighed down, so the bill is also in balance and gives you the feeling of having been hosted by a friend.
