Four of us visited this simple trattoria on a Friday evening in early October. We spent about €100 total for an appetizer to share, consisting of cured meats and fried gnocchi (not the same as the ones in Emilia, but still good), three Milanese-style cutlets with potatoes (excellent), and a cheeseburger served in their signature (and equally excellent) focaccia. We also ordered two still waters and two glasses of Barbera wine. Highly recommended!

Great lunch in a "real Milanese canteen". A lively, family atmosphere. The dishes were hearty and pleasant (not too many vegetables!), and good value for money. The service was efficient and friendly. An excellent place to eat Milanese food among other Milanese, without any fuss.

You're not wrong!! I often go there for lunch and it's always a guarantee. Few frills, varied and genuine menu. You can eat one course and be full and satisfied but if you want to push it a little it's fun!

10/10/2025: A wonderful experience. Delicious, high-quality dishes, including a generous porcalola platter. A special mention goes to the duck breast with berry glaze and braised purple cabbage. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxing. Excellent service.

05/06/2025: DON CARLOS is a journey into the past. The restaurant is located in one of the alleys of one of the most prestigious streets in Milan. It will take you on a journey into authentic Italian cuisine in the class of the nobility of the past. The design and service take you into the noble houses of Milan of the past with the flavors of authentic food at the highest level. So what do you have to taste in a place like this? Of course we took the saffron risotto, one of the most Milanese dishes there is. Usually it is served with ossobucco, but this time we only took the risotto, the Milanese schnitzel, the cutlet that comes served on the bone and is delicate and delicious at the highest levels, and of course homemade tortellini stuffed with seasonal vegetables and handmade tomato pasta. Everything was simply perfect, just like an Italian mamma.
