Crosta In Milano

I've been away for a long time, and I wasn't thrilled about coming back. The tables were getting closer together, and the prices were getting higher!

I love crispy pizzas, and I think this is the best pizza I've ever eaten. The place is small but cozy. The only downside is the timer. Once the time is up, they kindly ask you to leave. It's understandable, but if you want a relaxing dinner and have late friends, you might want to go elsewhere.

The best baked goods in all of Milan

We went for dinner, and even though it was a Thursday night, reservations were necessary. We ordered bread with butter and anchovies as an appetizer. Unfortunately, we were slightly disappointed by the quality-price ratio: two small slices of bread, with plenty of butter that covered the flavor of the anchovies, and the price was very high (€6.50). We continued with a pizza al padellino (stewed tomato, onion, and porcini mushrooms) and a diavola (with 'nduja). The strong point of both was the dough, soft on the inside, but with a crispy crust and base. We found it light, ideal for those who want a pizza that doesn't "stick" in the stomach. The toppings, in our opinion, were a bit bland. We were still a little hungry, so we decided to opt for a classic Margherita to share. It turned out just as good as the others. The final bill, which included the above-mentioned food and two bottles of filtered water, was 46 euros for two.

So lucky to have this place near my home! I’m not sure what the staff was like for the other very bad reviews, but every time I’m here the staff and service is good. I don’t speak much Italian and the staff is always helpful and very friendly! However, yes sometimes especially on the weekends and busy times the service does get a bit slow. The food could be a bit pricey, but hey, where is it not expensive in Milan hahaha😅. The quality and portions are justified for the price in my opinion! Very delicious Cozy atmosphere and delicious fresh bread too! Highly recommend! 5/5

We had dinner at Crosta in Milan and the experience was absolutely fantastic. This place has a fascinating dual identity: by day, it's a cozy bar and Viennese-style bakery (where they sell spectacular bread!), while in the evening it transforms into a pizzeria with a warm, casual, and lively atmosphere. ​The focus of the menu is, of course, the dough, which defies any traditional classification. Their pizzas are a brilliant mix of Neapolitan, Roman, and pan pizza: they're "tall," with an incredibly airy crust (the lightness of the crumb is impressive), yet incredibly crispy on the base and edges. In addition to the perfect texture, they're beautifully topped with the highest-quality ingredients. From the photos I took, you can see the generosity and creativity of the toppings: from the ultra-fresh version with potato cream, pesto, and cheese shavings, to the more boldly flavored ones with olives or savory sauces. An absolute honorable mention goes to their "extralight pan": a slice of incredibly soft meat on the inside, topped with a savory and crunchy crust that melts in your mouth. To top it off, their off-menu desserts were truly delicious and perfect for ending the meal on a sweet and original note. The added value of the place is definitely the staff: very kind, always friendly, and above all, very knowledgeable, capable of passionately explaining the unique characteristics of the dough and ingredients. The prices are definitely fair. Highly recommended, I can't wait to go back!

The pizza is delicious and unique, made like focaccia. The atmosphere isn't very intimate because the tables are all placed in a narrow passageway, or alternatively there's a small room that I find a bit cramped (no windows). The 33cl beer, €7, was definitely too expensive, especially since there were no cheaper options.

Delicious breakfasts. We had a savory breakfast and a very good coffee. The place is very quiet, perfect for starting the day with a coffee. I had the impression that mostly locals come here. The wait time is short and the products are of very high quality.
