08/01/2025: Above-average quality bakery, pastry shop and rotisserie. Half of the products are reinterpretations of the Palermo classics based on vegetable ingredients: sfincione with vegetable cheese, roulade with tofu frankfurters, arancini with tofu vegetable butter and veg bechamel, soy ragù, large and small classic and cocoa brioches, croissants and others sheets, all to be filled at the moment with pistachio cream, yellow cream, gianduia and jam, cinnamon rolls and various braids.
The quality of the dough is truly excellent, the fillings and condiments are homemade and generally very good and original. Furthermore, the price is really honest and sometimes below average (arancini €2.30, sfincione €2.00, small brioches €1.00, croissants €1.40 I think...)
At 7 in the morning you can find various croissants and pastries together with bar drinks. From 8.30am it is possible to find express rotisserie and baked goods until 7pm, when however the choice becomes increasingly limited.
For those who follow a plant-based diet it is truly a must to visit in Palermo. For those who are omnivorous, and convinced that following a plant-based diet is synonymous with deprivation and betrayal of traditions, this place may suggest a re-evaluation of such prejudices, and therefore an incentive to evaluate similar alternatives in the future!
