08/02/2025: When we arrived in Matera we had booked a few days before. They welcomed us discreetly and made us sit in the mezzanine room.
Nice place, fast service, however after a few minutes we ordered
A Broad bean and chicory with fried onion and a Fried Matera consisting of Lampascioni, ricotta, cod, artichokes and bran, both excellent as first courses, an Orecchiette with turnip greens, anchovies and fried breadcrumbs, bran, and Spaghetto alla guitar with red prawns, lemon, prized truffle (this perhaps a little too much lime)
accompanied by a Malvasia Lucana, tiramisu and meringues with almonds and bitters and coffee... I count a little more than 50 euros each... a good experience
07/02/2025: Restaurant with a simple environment, such as furnishings and premises.
Unfortunately a little cold, perhaps due to the height of the rooms. Excellent welcome with warm bread and locally produced extra virgin olive oil.
Good and particular mixed starter, first course a little lacking in seasoning (mussels and clams), but of quality. Excellent wine. Friendly and helpful staff.
