Wow, wow, wow!!! This is the mother of all ice cream (gelato)!! We visited Valestra following a recommendation from a local Sorrento tour guide (best place for ice cream in Sorrento), and it didn't disappoint! We went for the large tub and a mix of scoops - the pistachio, chocolate and rum, and kinder bueno are all to die for. Absolutely heavenly, great value for money, a must visit, and highly recommend!

There's nothing better in Sorrento. If you're passing through and want a brioche, cookie, dessert, gelato, or sandwich, you have to stop here. I'm telling you, at Sorrentino's. A family business, everything is handmade. For the people of Sorrento, Cremeria Valestra is an institution.

19/05/2026: Very nice location but the rooms are not sound proof and it was quite noisy until midnight and then began again at 5 am. Quaint is the best description of the room. Also, the WiFi was not working. Food and service was excellent 👍

15/02/2026: This place was recommended to us by locals, and after going there the other night with my friend, I understood why. The informal yet warm and relaxed welcome immediately made us feel at home. The waiter who served us, Fulvio, was an excellent adviser, bringing us a variety of traditional appetizers, each one more delicious than the last. We had two fish-based first courses, both beautiful and delicious; the quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. For dessert, we had a pastiera to share, only because the portions of the appetizer and first course had already filled us up enough; otherwise, no one would have taken one each. I'm definitely marking it as a must-visit on my future trips to Naples, and I'll definitely recommend it to anyone passing through the city.
