The bar is located on the Val Veny road, next to the picnic area on the Dora stream. The cold dishes, such as salads and platters, are simple but made with good-quality ingredients. The service is courteous and prompt. The location is beautiful, and the building is simple, like a mountain hut, but certainly very clean and welcoming. It gets very busy on weekends.

From here, with two filling sandwiches, I made my way up Mont Blanc, since the Gonnella refuge was closed.

Superb place, great staff... just remember, this is a mountain bar, not a city bar... The perfect lunch break

After asking for a bresaola and fontina sandwich, they brought me a bresaola sandwich, rather empty, and a plate of fontina (two generous slices). With a can of chinotto I spent €16.50! I think next time I'll stick to coffee.
