Costa dei Barbari In Duino-aurisina

I was there recently and it surprised me. Let's just say it's my go-to place for a spritz after I land from Ronchi. This time I went for gelato. Delicious and generous portions. My husband is trying all the Carsoline gelatos in the area and he loved it. The staff is young, but not particularly inexperienced; I've had worse experiences (like at Pane Quotidiano in Barcola). I'm usually not enthusiastic, but this time I hope to go back soon for gelato there. (And then there's the convenience of parking out front; I used to take my grandmother there, who didn't walk much. Now that I have small children, I appreciate it even more.)

Special artisan pastry shop. You can't miss the traditional "carsolina" sweet made with an amazing cream inside. Very good the icecream too. Kind staff. Often crowded.
