Very charming place, delicious and characteristic food, highly recommended. Exquisite staff, especially the waiters: Luiza, Stefano, and Ramona, Serena, Olga, and Sadia. Ask for them, they're great. Push!

As for the rooms, they are really bad, dirty and with big flaws, like the obscene bathroom. As for the restaurant, it is very particular, but the food is really very very good and the service is friendly.

We had lunch on Sunday, October 26th. The quality and flavors of the past are still there, something increasingly rare to find around... Duck and black crostini, the best dishes ever. Always a guarantee with truly excellent prices.

We ate very well. The fresh mushrooms were on display and we couldn't resist. The pasta with mushrooms was excellent, and the steak was excellent, with beautifully fried mushrooms!

The food at La Corte dell'oca isn't good, but it's not bad either. I'd say the homemade pasta was good; my kids loved it. But I ordered the mushrooms, which were wet and not fresh, even though the restaurant owner brought them to me to try. Anyway, I had a stomachache for two days afterward, and you're right. The Fiorentina steak, however, was too undercooked, even though I'd asked for it to be medium. I'm sorry, but we didn't eat well, even though the place is famous and old.

It was described to me as a high-end restaurant, and today I was able to confirm it. Everything was superb, with a special mention for the first courses. A menu so extensive that you won't find it at any other restaurant. The kitchen is truly professional!

The restaurant was fully booked, but after a short wait, they seated us at the first available table. It was a fantastic experience. We ordered a very good Tuscan appetizer with warm crostini and excellent cured meats. Two first courses that we shared were truly exceptional. Followed by tripe with tomato sauce and mouth-watering scottiglia. Unfortunately, we missed their homemade desserts because the generous portions left no room! Thank you, great experience!

11/10/2025: A culinary experience of the highest order! The food here is unbelievably delicious – every dish was an absolute highlight. There's no menu; the chef decides what's served – and that's exactly what makes the visit so special. Each course was perfectly seasoned, creatively presented, and prepared with palpable passion. The entire team is extremely polite, attentive, and warm, making you feel welcome from the very first moment. Advance reservations are definitely recommended, as the restaurant is apparently very popular and usually full – quite rightly so!
24/09/2025: It had been recommended to us for a while, and we finally tried it! The appetizer was delicious and varied, with various Tuscan appetizers. For the main course, we loved the Cinta Senese pork and the ossobuco served with mashed potatoes. We prefer the zuppa inglese with alchermes (we think it's the classic recipe). The Chianti was excellent! The staff were very kind and attentive; the prices were reasonable for being in the center of Montevarchi.

11/09/2025: After reading a review this restaurant came highly recommended for a traditional Tuscan meat restaurant. It was a few minutes from Arezzo but you need a car to get there. We were lucky that we came a few minutes after last order, but they agree to serve us. Place was quite full. We chose the Pici Duck Ragout which was so tasty. Probably best pasta of our trip. We also ordered pork Liver encased in Bacon in fat with pieces of Lard. It looked so good. A true local speciality. But the liver was hard and a bit dry, not as good as the one in Osteria L’agania in Arezzo. Their claim to fame was the Bistecca Fiorentina. They cut and show you the meat before cooking it. It’s not a porterhouse but a bone in Steak. The meat is not as great of quality as the best that Florence can offer. It was cooked really well. BUT it was not to my liking because they didn’t flavor the steak in anyway. They expect you to do it yourself. They give you olive oil and salt and pepper. Problem is …. That’s not how I prepare my steaks. Without any experience I just couldn’t get the steak to taste right. And I just didn’t have the confident to salt the steak enough. Still the taste of the meat was good and came really well prepared. There was 1 girl who spoke really good English and she helped us a lot with ordering. Service with everyone involved was excellent, a true family trattoria.
