We were warmly welcomed by the hotel manager Mauro and he kindly gave us another room (209) after which the lady at the reception checked us into another room. The 209 was a corner room with a mini view of the lake. The rooms are all very dark and have carpeted floors. For hygiene reasons I have to put a towel in front of my bed, even if that doesn't make much sense. I can agree with the 4 star reviews. Monika Stephan describes the situation in the bathroom perfectly. The small and bulky bathroom items in the windowsill are inconvenient. Why don't you put refillable dispensers in the bathroom? Soap is out. Kettle and Nespresso machine available in the room. In addition to the toilet, there is also a bidet. The TV didn't work, but we weren't there to watch TV either. We didn't even look at the wellness area. That sounded strange with the one-hour reservation. The service in general was very good and we found dinner in the restaurant to be okay, but too expensive. The plates had fingerprints. The sea bass was completely topped with lemon slices. There is still room for improvement. There were gluten-free rolls with the salad. Thank you! We stayed for 2 nights and would always recommend the hotel as a starting point for excursions around Lake Lugano and Balcone D'Italia if you like it quiet in the evening. From here you start perfectly to Lugano (we only drove through) towards Grandria (definitely stop and eat there) and Porlezza (next stop for ice cream and espresso) back down around the lake. A great day trip. We just strolled briefly through Campione. We didn't visit the casino. There is a public beach near the hotel. You should read the story of Campione on Wikipedia. This little enclave is interesting and so are the names on the doorbells. The people who live there should put more effort into taking care of their place. Weeds everywhere and the properties are gradually falling into disrepair. I would have liked to know more about this small, mysterious country. We wish Mauro and his team all the best. It is definitely a challenge to run a hotel in this increasingly comfortable environment.

Beautiful hotel amazing view from our room. In arrive Ashley was so helpful in fact that helpful she upgraded my wife and I to a suite with an incredible view of the lake it was amazing! Francesca was another wonderful worker at the hotel! She was so so helpful and very very respect and polite! Oh and how could I forget the great service from Chamry a lovely lady who was so so attentive for my wife and I! All three lady’s were great and deserve a bonus! People like this are hard to find these days they were fantastic! Besides the fantastic service the hotel its self is amazing ! Be sure to visit guys :) :)

The hotel staff made us feel at home. They provided and exceeded a quality of service you would expect from a 5 star hotel The house keeping was meticulous, the hotel employees were attentive, the food was amazing. We especially appreciated the chef and waiters. Chamari is very attentive and friendly. The reception staff and the entire crew showed a level of professionalism and organization I have not seen before at a hotel. I love this hotel location.

The hotel is beautiful, the view is amazing, and the staff are extremely helpful. I loved that anything we order, coffee or any drinks in the room, is free 👍🏻

Not five stars for sure. The view of the lake from the rooms is amazing. The room furnishings are normal except for 2 things: - the TV is hidden in a mirror, which makes it unusable - there is no shower in the bathroom, only a large bathtub surrounded by a shower curtain. It was very uncomfortable, it was annoying to shower like this, with the curtain sticking around you. In addition, the water does not drain properly into the drain. The staff is very kind and helpful, they try to solve everything. They deserve 5 stars. The hotel restaurant is very expensive and overpriced, and the food is not particularly good (delicious but nothing extra) Fintess room did not work because it was renovated, and the Spa section is small (1 small pool, 1 sauna and 1 steam) and, like the whole hotel, would need renovation. All in all, we spent a pleasant 7 days - thanks to the nice people working here - but unfortunately we did not get the 5-star luxury hotel feeling that we paid so much for.

The hotel is clean, everything is kept very dark, well maintained but we were a bit unlucky with the room. It was very dark due to its corner location and proximity to the next house combined with the dark furnishings. I don't quite understand the point of the freestanding bathtub with rain shower. There was a tightening process to keep the bath from flooding. But then you couldn't get to the faucet or the shower gel. Either way, half the bathroom was under water. There was no ventilation in the bathroom and the window couldn't be opened properly, so it often smelled musty. The breakfast was excellent and the service was very friendly. The location is ok. Unfortunately there is nothing to do in the village. There are 5 restaurants and that’s it. But absolutely ok for our discovery tour on Lake Lugano.

Elite room/room had great view of the lake. Room nicely furnished, bathroom very inconvenient. When showering, water splashes everywhere despite the curtain. Bathtub clogged when showering for the first time / drain didn't work, stood in the water and had to call room service, who then had to clean the drain / it also took an hour. The pool also had to be booked for a specific time and, according to the staff, only a maximum of one hour was free. Fitness room very small, only a treadmill and a machine, there was an indoor bike in the spa entrance.

This one of the friendly most relaxed places I have ever eaten at. It’s no wonder it had so many regulars. Said at hotel for a week and eat there 5 times. Each one was a treat, there lemon ice cream could be best thing I’ve ever eaten. Thinking another holiday just for the lemon ice cream
