We ended up in Laveno for a wedding coming from Rome. Walking around the town in the morning we saw this place and were struck by the modern, simple and clean style... with a touch of homeliness.
We booked for dinner.
The service was extremely courteous, precise and attentive.
We ate two excellent appetizers (eggplant parmigiana and egg with polenta).
Then a risotto and the braised meat with polenta.
Both were amazing!
Excluding the wine (we treated ourselves to a Barolo) the price was between 30/40 euros including a dessert that we split between two.
It's a shame to have it 700 km from home...
We would definitely have returned.

Excellent food and service. Have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. A touch more expensive than most places nearby, and occasionally a tiny excess of salt for my liking, but overall highly recommended.

I ate here two nights running. The food is superb, and there is much to choose from. Friendly, attentive service. Charming view of the lake, even from inside the restaurant.

Confermo la precedente esperienza positiva, buoni gli antipasti misti e i dolci notevole l'osso buco con polenta, servizio perfetto con personale molto gentile, unico appunto, una carta dei vini un po' limitata che meriterebbe qualche aggiunta, magari di vini piemontesi.

This is a very nice place to have a coffee and breakfast on just next to the Lago Maggiore. The pricing is fair and the value for money is very good. The waiters (two young Italian guys, could be students) are very polite. The weather in L-B was amazing so the overall impression was scintillating.

Excellent. Kind, hospitable, smiling, very polite staff. Very clean environment, very clean toilet. Excellent spaghetti alla chitarra and well-prepared fillet. Very nice view of the lake. Scoperto per caso, passeggiando per il lungolago di Laveno.
Locale caldo e accogliente (specialmente la veranda). Personale cordiale.
