Amazing food and exceptional wine served by the lovely Sylvia - my husband and I both had a lovely first meal in Siracusa.
We both had pasta; my husband had ravioli with tomato and basil pesto with almonds and I had tagliolini neri with wild fennel pesto and anchovies - the pasta was cooked to perfection and everything was seasoned perfectly - we also had a fennel and orange salad - delightful and delicious.
We were recommended white wine by Sylvia - it was amazing - 6 euros a glass
The desserts were triumphant too - my husband had a cannoli and I had a chocolate panna cotta .
The setting outside is beatiful in a charming old square . Service was very quick and fun - Sylvia was lovejy.
Some reviews mention sustainable crockery - we think that is to be applauded 👏- wine is served in a proper big glass - it’s only the water that is served in paper cups.
All very reasonable in cost - not expensive at all and we hope to return for another wonderful dining experience.
As someone who cooks alot at home ( I even have a go at homemade pasta ) I can highly recommend here - you won’t be disappointed

A beautiful discovery in Ortigia! Colapesce is a young restaurant but already full of character. The reception was warm: the girl and the guys who served us are nice, available and can advise with precision and sincerity. You immediately perceive that it is a young team, which puts its heart into what it does.
The handmade pasta is really excellent, the dishes are carefully prepared with fresh ingredients and authentic taste. It is a place where you can go with confidence, because you eat well, you are treated with kindness and you feel the sincere desire to offer a pleasant experience.
The only negative (which, however, does not depend on them): the restaurant next door, unfortunately, ruins the atmosphere a little with loud music and noisy ways that disturb those looking for a quiet moment in Colapesce. It's a shame, because the Colapesce team deserves support, respect and silence to continue to grow and offer the best.
Go there, support them, and be won over by their enthusiasm and their cuisine. 💙

We ate at ColaPasta in the old town of Syracuse today. Incredibly friendly staff, super delicious food, all freshly made and truly exceptional. My husband wanted a grappa after dinner, which they didn't have, so they went to a neighboring restaurant and got one for us. Exceptionally nice! We'll be back!

The food is actually really great! The pasta tastes great. BUT the entire meal is served on paper plates. The water comes from plastic-coated cups. What makes it even worse is that the menu advertises how sustainable the restaurant is. A no-go for me, unfortunately.

Excellent restaurant to eat a delicious plate of fresh pasta made at the moment. Nice idea of choosing the pasta shape and the sauce to pair. Generous portions and fast and efficient service. The waitress always kind and smiling, treated us impeccably.

Qué experiencia maravillosa fue cenar en Cola Pasta en Ortigia. Me encanta encontrar lugares que realmente se salgan de la norma para crear una gran experiencia. Primero me impresionó la política de plástico cero y luego me quedé impresionado con nuestra comida. Fue un poco tirado por los platos de cartón, pero entiendo por qué. Puedes mezclar y combinar la pasta con salsas que resultaron ser una decisión difícil. Ambos optamos por pasta de tagliolina negra cortada a mano. El corte a mano le da forma cuadrada y el negro proviene de la tinta de calamar (por suerte esto no afecta la alergia a los mariscos de Geoff). Opté por el pesto de hinojo salvaje con anchoas cubiertas con pangrattato y Geoff optó por el pesto trapani hecho con tomates, albahaca y almendras. ¡Caramba, estos fueron buenos! La pasta negra nunca se ve muy bien en las fotos, pero tome mi palabra para él delicioso! Maridaje con el mejor vino blanco que he tomado hasta ahora de la bodega del Monte Etna Villagrande, completamente encantador. Personal encantador, un entorno agradable y muy apreciado.
