Cocchi's Tratto/Pizzeria In Anzio

My experience was average, with no positive or negative highlights. We ate several pizzas at a large table. The quality of the ingredients was decent, but I personally don't appreciate the fact that everything is so chopped up. For example, I prefer a whole slice of ham to many small pieces, or I don't appreciate an egg that's completely crumbled. The place is simple, mostly a veranda, and the service is average. I found the prices above the Anzio average for similar places.

The pizzas were truly worth it, even though we ordered takeout (they notoriously leak on the way). Fried food (especially the supplì) wasn't among the best I've ever eaten, but it was still passable.

The appetizers were good, with a wide variety. The pizza was a bit hard, but not bad, but not the best. The tiramisu was exceptional.

Cocchi's Top! Family dinner, three people, two adults and one child. We ordered a plate of pasta with tomato sauce (half a portion) for the child, a Gustosa pizza, and a Fuoco del Nord pizza. To accompany it, we ordered sparkling water, a still water, and a medium pitcher of unfiltered Ichnusa. Note that the food arrived before the drinks, but I'm sorry if my request to know why resulted in the waiters being scolded, which wasn't my intention. In any case, the pizza was truly top-notch: soft, tasty, and light. We were pleasantly surprised and completely satisfied. To finish, we had a tiramisu, a pistachio cheesecake, a coffee, and a amaro. The price was excellent, especially considering the excellent pizza we ate. I definitely want to return to try the meat. The service was a bit uncertain, but you can tell it's a young atmosphere, and it's Saturday night. I have no complaints, especially since there's always room for improvement. See you soon.

This restaurant is not located in the center of Anzio, but further out after Anzio Colonia. Finding parking in the area is very difficult; we drove around for at least 10 minutes in vain. Once we arrived, the place was nice inside and the staff were welcoming. Their menu includes first courses, second courses, fried foods, pizzas, and desserts. I would find a better option for the menu because it's so extensive and they give you these huge, somewhat inconvenient boxes. We had a Tonnarello Cacio e Pepe (€14), which was a generous portion. The pasta was well-cooked, but the cream was separate from the tonnarello and quite watery. The price is also high; there's room for improvement. We also had a Fior di Bosco Pizza (Pesto, mozzarella, baked potatoes, mushrooms) (€10). The pizza was cooked well, the dough was also light, it's a shame that the pesto was too much, in fact, it was a bit stomach-churning at the end of the pizza. The potatoes were also not at all tasteful, but the mushrooms were average and nothing special. Again, €10 is too much for this type of pizza. We then had a portion of Chicken Nuggets (€8), which however weren't nuggets, but Tenders, which were good, just a little greasy and a pinch more salt would have been better. Including a first course, a pizza, the "nuggets", a Coke Zero and a still water, we spent €36, which is a bit high even in terms of quality/price ratio. The service was very quick despite the place being full. Final Score 6.8/10

I've eaten both takeout and delivery, and I've always had a great experience. The owner is a wonderful person, and the food is truly delicious. Highly recommended!

Called in the afternoon for the same evening (August 15th). The staff was extremely friendly and organized. The food was excellent, even the more unusual ones. The prices were super competitive and affordable. We'll definitely be back.
