I thought it was a “tourist place” (overlooking the Circus Maximus), but it is mainly frequented by Romans who enjoy excellent Roman cuisine.

Next to the Circus Maximus, this restaurant is unexpected: a refined atmosphere, fast service, and friendly, traditional Roman cuisine. All the appetizers were excellent: puntarelle, supplì, potato croquettes, mozzarella in carrozza, and Roman-style artichokes. First courses were well-made: we tried the Gricia and the carbonara, both very good. The lamb with potatoes was perhaps the least impressive, but still very tender. The tiramisu, homemade by the chef, finished with a bill of €45 per person, including two bottles of wine. Excellent value. Recommended.

Our server was a bit dour, but the service was excellent, and the food was absolutely sublime. Other servers appeared to be having more fun. Fantastic place for a group of any size.

Friendly welcome and a good selection of food and drinks. Everything was delicious and prepared quickly. The service could be a bit friendlier, but with a flat 5% service charge, they don't really have to try too hard. The location on the main road isn't the best choice for outdoor seating.

Traditional, but not too traditional. For gourmets. A place worth revisiting. Not touristy, excellent food, fast and impeccable service. Our experience was definitely positive. I think we'll be back. We were guests at "Circo" on Sunday, December 7th. There were four of us adults and we made reservations in the morning. We arrived a little late, but they didn't cause any problems. We were seated immediately, and the staff greeted us politely and helpfully. Very fast and eager to accommodate our needs. The Food You certainly won't find all the classic Roman dishes like pajata, oxtail stew, and so on, but you will find fried artichokes, carbonara, and the like. We had the supplì, which was excellent, along with fried artichokes, a gricia, carbonara, lamb with potatoes, and an excellent beef tartare. We couldn't find any faults; in fact, everything was excellent. What we didn't like was the tiramisu, but I think that's more of a personal preference. We liked it with a firmer cream (but again, it's a personal preference). As for the wine, the cellar isn't terribly well-stocked, but there's a good balance. We ordered a 2023 Shiraz. It was consistent with what we ate and satisfying. There were also local wines, as well as wines from many other regions, from almost every Italian region. The bill We paid €110 per couple. I'd say the price was fair for both the quality and the quantity. Despite the fairly salty and flavorful food, we didn't feel thirsty in the hours that followed. A sign that the quality was still excellent. Conclusion We highly recommend it. It's a 10-minute taxi ride from the center of Rome (we paid €15 from the Spanish Steps). Not very touristy and definitely authentic.

Amazing place. The amatriciana is not very well-made.

Oh, it was so, so delicious, but my weak stomach could only handle one pasta and dessert, so I wanted to kill myself (extremely). The white ragu pasta was seriously so delicious. What the heck, is this Italy? All the pasta I've ever had was just plain crap. Next time, I want to come with a group or triple my appetite to try all the pastas. I went in at 12:30 and was able to eat right away, but by 1:30, all the tables were full and they weren't accepting anyone. I recommend making a reservation or arriving early. I had pasta (topped with truffle), dessert (the cheesecake was delicious), and coffee, and at around €27, it was incredibly cheap. For this quality and the super delicious pasta, it's incredibly affordable. I love you, boss.

I wasn't crazy about the supplì with ragù; the carbonara was delicious, very delicate, and the amatriciana was bold, but still good. The waiter was friendly, the place was well-kept.

Everything is delicious, just watch your receipt, anyone can make a mistake!
