Panisia al salto – a positive impression for someone who has tried this dish for the first time – well-seasoned and tasty. Liver with onions in a goulash – good, intense flavor, although the flavor could be softened with some herbs or spices. Cod in tomatoes – delicious. Donkey goulash with baked polenta – probably the best dish we've ever had. Fast, efficient service. Good homemade food at an affordable price.

For a fixed-price lunch, be sure to ask for Paniscia as your first course, a typical Novara dish made with rice, cabbage, celery, and finely chopped cured meats. Circolo della Paniscia is a prime spot for sampling and enjoying authentic local products. In the evening, dinner is served à la carte.
