This restaurant is run by a farm that grows spelt, so many dishes are made with spelt flour. On our evening, the menu was listed verbally, perhaps because it changes constantly. In short, if you want to choose from a wide range of menu options, this isn't the place for you.
If, however, you like rustic-style restaurants and food, this is the perfect place. Highly recommended, and if you use TheFork, you get a 20% discount.

We came here because we arrived in Putignano in the afternoon and there weren't many other restaurants open, but we were so glad we did. The service was very friendly and helpful.
The restaurant is known for its meals made with products from its own farm. The menu is based on what's still available. We had mutton stew, grilled pork, and pasta. All delicious. Accompanied by a delicious Primitivo (from a mug), also homemade. We chose four different desserts, all equally delicious. Highly recommended for a tasty and different meal.

Incredible and very authentic! We discovered it by chance, and it became one of the best memories of this trip to Puglia. They welcomed us without a reservation, and despite the communication difficulties, I recommend going with the flow and following the recommendations.

At Osteria Contadina Cicirinella, you don't just come to eat: you live an experience. There's art in the kitchen, true art, made of authentic flavors, lovingly preserved traditions, and the highest-quality ingredients that become magic in Massimiliano's hands.
And what can I say about Loredana? She's the perfect hostess, welcoming you with a rare warmth and that contagious enthusiasm that transforms dinner into a special moment. We were enchanted by their stories of land and wine, and then pampered by the surprise dishes: from the extraordinary farro orecchiette to the cream of fava beans and chicory, to the tongue—a dish that, without fear of comparison, delivers the emotions of fine cuisine (Nico Romito will forgive me, but the level here is truly top-notch!). And finally, the dessert...SUBLIME!
Loredana and Massimiliano are two hard workers, driven by sincere passion and the desire to convey emotions through food. Enthusiasm reigns supreme here, and every dish tells a story, every glass of wine a tale.

In Puglia for a short family vacation, as usual, I looked for somewhere to eat and try local specialties. After searching online, I came across Cicirinella and read the comments of previous diners. Intrigued, I booked a table for myself and my family.
I can say that the welcome was truly exceptional; they immediately put us at ease. It was an exceptional culinary experience with simple, homemade products, but of a quality we will never forget.
The most important thing was the attention given to our youngest member, who is celiac and has to adapt wherever we go due to the lack of consideration from many restaurateurs. She dined with us without any problems and, above all, enjoyed everything.
I recommend this osteria to everyone, where all the products used are truly local.

What can I say... we stumbled upon this osteria from Milan and left with our hearts full (and our bellies too 😂). Loredana and Massimiliano transport you to a world of flavors, a slow world where storytelling intertwines with food. All the dishes are impeccably explained by Loredana, a true homeowner. Massimiliano overwhelmed us with his enthusiasm for everything related to gastronomy. Love for the local area, sustainability, and tradition come together. A little tip: don't just order... let them advise you and trust them, you won't regret it!

We're tourists who don't like touristy restaurants; we chose this restaurant somewhat by chance, having entered with some hesitation about not being able to dine outside. We found a delightful, friendly, informal, and competent welcome. The cuisine is a riot of well-balanced flavors, tradition presented with a surprising touch of originality; the quality of the ingredients can make a simple tomato sauce as unforgettable as a marzipan; the chef, who comes to tell us the story of his products, adds what was missing from what we thought was a perfect dinner. The bill made us wonder if they'd forgotten to mark down some of the dishes. Long live the short supply chain, passion, and authenticity.
