CALM in the dining room & VOLUPTUOUSNESS on the plate (and in the glass) for this restaurant a few minutes from the Quattro Canti market but far from its tourist hordes; pizza lovers - coke lovers abstain!

On Saturday 15 February, my wife and I, together with a couple of friends from Palermo, had dinner at "Ciccio in Pentola", located in the heart of the historic Kalsa neighborhood in Palermo. The restaurant offers a refined, welcoming and relaxed, but at the same time refined, atmosphere, ideal for enjoying delicious dishes in a comfortable and trendy environment.
We started with an appetizer of very fresh raw meat, excellently assorted and carefully presented. As a first course, the prawn pasta was amazing: the prawns were present both in the sauce and whole on the pasta, offering a rich and authentic flavour. To conclude, the decomposed cannoli with ricotta was the best I have ever tasted in Palermo.
The wine list is extensive and well selected, and the owner, Eugenio, gave us excellent advice on how to best pair our dishes. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff. The clientele present was made up of respectable people and international tourists, contributing to a pleasant and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
In summary, “Ciccio in Pentola” represents an obligatory stop for those who want to immerse themselves in the Sicilian culinary tradition revisited with creativity, in an elegant and welcoming context. We can't wait to return to savor other delights on their menu.

We sat on the terrace, which was very pleasant in the rays of the sun. However, the service was bad: we had to call several times for water, which was finally brought to us at the same time as our dishes. Same for bread and breadsticks. Fairly limited choice of software. No salt/pepper shakers although our table neighbors had this privilege. Dishes too salty for both of us.

Elegant and original environment in a popular neighborhood and in a limited traffic area.
Unfortunately, despite the standing of the place and the medium/high price range, none of the five diners declared themselves satisfied with the dishes served.
It was probably an unfortunate choice of dishes on that particular day.
For the welcome and the impeccable service it deserves a second chance.
