Every time I am in Soverato, a stop at Chocolat to taste the warm croissants has always been an essential tradition. Unfortunately, this year something has changed… I did not find the soft and tasty croissant of past years, but a version with generous dimensions, yes, but with a disappointing taste and consistency. Even though it was served warm, the inside was dry and some parts were surprisingly crunchy, thus losing that soft fragrance that made it special. We also tried two crêpes that, although not exceptional, were still pleasant.

Here is a place to eat warm croissants and crepes in the evening or at night in Soverato. Small place but with a laboratory of leavened and filled with cream, Nutella, cream and Nutella together behind it: the croissants are filled on the spot. Almost, almost better than renovated local pastry shops.

19/09/2025: The restaurant is charming and well-decorated, with a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is courteous and helpful, although a bit distracted at times. The menu offers a good variety of sushi and Japanese dishes, but the quality was uneven: some rolls were well-balanced and fresh, while others had rice that was a bit too firm, and the fish didn't have the expected sensation of absolute freshness. The wait between courses was quite long, especially considering the restaurant wasn't particularly crowded. The quality-price ratio is decent: not excessive, but for the price, one would expect more attention to both presentation and consistency.
22/08/2025: The only downside is that when you have to pay they check many times how many people you were with, a bit unpleasant! But if you like the type of cuisine and it's a must-see, they are the cheapest.
