07/12/2024: So, this is not an experience that everyone will enjoy. The food is incredibly abstract--you learn a great deal about what you're eating, and oftentimes the flavors will surprise you, but that doesn't mean that what you're eating is always necessarily pleasant to eat nor delicious in a linear way. The flavors make you think, which I actually found very fascinating. The service is both incredibly friendly but also extremely overbearing and becomes more overbearing with time. My husband and I found ourselves wondering if this was intentional, as it contributed a fascinating sort of tension to the entire dinner as artwork. Someone else who reviewed this restaurant terribly cited the fact that the dinner felt like a conceptual artwork and thought of that as a negative. I think this quality is a strong positive--what is food and fine dining supposed to be accomplishing, anyway? Incredibly gratifying but not necessarily for everyone.
