I've lived in the area and have known Bar Chiaroni practically forever, a landmark for the entire neighborhood. It has been renovated over the years and is now a charming bistro with plants, books, and a piano for patrons to enjoy. The staff at the counter are young, courteous, and friendly, and the food is excellent—don't miss Mariella's tarts!

The atmosphere and food are pleasant. I've stopped in a few times for lunch. It's definitely a good place to go if you're looking for a quick bite. It's a shame about the woman working the counter; she's not very friendly and can be pushy or rude at times.

I’ve been there with a friend at 11 o’clock, they have an area to sit down outside too. So clean, and delicious things, they have integral sweets too if you are on diet, so good, but the staff doesn’t give u smile , i don’t know why, i tried to be friendly but he was only doing his job, no interaction or smile to give you good feeling, also when i told him thanks to bring us our order, he heard me but didn’t answer, and i repeat again and he tried to give me a smile, anyway i liked everything, they were kind but better to make customers’ day with a nice smile 😊

We had amazing breakfast sat outside here a couple of day's ago and the beautiful Marianna came to our rescue as we didn't speak Italian but she spoke in English explaining the breakfast vegetarian option. Thank you Mariana for making the start of our day amazing

Wonderful place, very nice service. Specially for us, the owner did the shopping and a beautiful girl prepared us the best carbonara I've ever eaten in my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
