Historic Roman restaurant with an authentic atmosphere. Very friendly staff and, above all, excellent food. The artichokes alla giudia and cacio e pepe are amazing!

Beautiful place and amazing service! Perfect place for a small or big group dinner! I recommend the tuna and tomato spaghetti. Thank you Nada for also making this experience even better! Super helpful and sweet.

I probably had too many expectations and was somewhat disappointed. Of the three first courses we had, the carbonara was good, the gricia was nothing special, and the amatriciana was better for me. It's certainly adequate, but not better!

Our waiter was very helpful in suggesting what to order. A good wine list variety. Delicious after dinner drink drinks, and an overall good experience.

22/04/2025: Creo que este era mi restaurante favorito en Roma. Yo tenía pasta all'Amatriciana que era perfecto, y otros tenían carbonara, filete y pomodoro. El personal era increíble. El vino fue uno de los mejores que tuvimos todo el viaje también.
27/02/2025: Il proprietario oltre ad essere una persona molto ospitale, è molto preparato su quanto ha nel menù e sui vini. Abbiamo cenato in modo sublime, tutto era squisito e di ottima qualità. Se andate a Roma è d'obbligo passare da Mario.

04/05/2026: I decided to have lunch here since it's really close to the Colosseum, and I wasn't disappointed! I booked a couple of days in advance just to be safe, and I recommend doing so. I had the carbonara, which was very good, but I also tried the amatriciana, and I have to say, it left me speechless! It was truly delicious 💝 I'll definitely be back!!
04/05/2026: Neither good nor bad. We came in for lunch when the staff was having internal disagreements in the dining room. The service was adequate, but I didn't sense any... soul in the waiter. The impression is that there's effort but no love. The food is okay, the price is average for what I've seen in Rome (15 euros for anything, minimum, and we had both a first and second course), but the crispiness of the guanciale in the carbonara needs attention, often so tough it could break your teeth. I'm editing my review because I forgot that the bottle of water (which I pay for but is probably free from the tap, as I could get it from the street fountains) had mold on the cork thread. Very bad. The wine list is remarkable.
