Charlie In Orvieto

We originally came to Charlie’s looking for pizza but accidentally arrived too early to get pizza. Regardless it was amazing, the vegetable soup was perfect for a cold day. My sister who has celiac, often making it difficult to find an enjoyable dining experience, was met with many options on the menu. She was even given gluten free crackers as an alternative for the bread the rest of us were given. We had many restrictions in our party aside from the celiac, including nut allergies and a vegetarian diet, all of which were accommodated to. The wine and espresso were both amazing and had great flavor. The service was excellent and our server was patient with us, providing us insight on the menu in English. This is most definitely somewhere I would recommend.

Excellent restaurant, best reserved given the high demand. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent dishes, beautifully presented. Recommended are the cod Orvietana-style and the homemade desserts. We'll be back!

We didn't try the pizzas, but the other dishes were really good, including a very special tomato pudding accompanied by excellent cheese, and cod Orvietana-style. The pasta was good. Recommended.

A place to return to over and over again

Fantastic rabbit porchetta and amazing pizzas. Beautiful courtyard for dining and excellent service. We kept coming back!

I'm truly incredibly satisfied with this restaurant. We arrived at a time when it was already full, but the waiter told us we could come back in half an hour and he would reserve a table for us. My boyfriend speaks Italian, but unfortunately, I don't. In other restaurants, this has always meant that the waiter generally only spoke to my boyfriend. Here, however, the waiter made sure to explain everything to me in English, and I felt welcomed. I definitely wanted to mention that! It was truly amazing. The food was outstanding, and the service was simply excellent. A small note: the online English menu didn't match the Italian menu at the restaurant, and we couldn't have found the cheese platter as an appetizer on the main menu. Thank you so much for the wonderful service!

The pizza or Sole Mio is very good, exceptional. The lager and red beer are very good. The service is prompt and welcoming. The atmosphere is delightful.
