A seaside evening in Monza, with a Salento heart
Is it possible that the sea and good fish can reach Monza?
Yes, and that's exactly what happened to us thanks to Angelo and Vanda, who helped us discover TIPORTO: a restaurant where you can imagine the sea, but you can really feel it - in the taste, in the aromas, in the atmosphere.
They had already told us in the car that a surprise awaited us. As soon as we entered the restaurant, Angelo turns to the maître and asks: "Is Danilo there?"
We thus discover that Danilo, the owner, is originally from Sannicola like us, to be precise from Chiesanuova, where the Giaffredas are a well-known presence.
Danilo arrives, we shake hands like true Salento people and immediately begins a story made of shared memories, families, experiences. From his days as a restless boy to his studies as a surveyor, to the many jobs carried out with dedication: from personal care to catering, always with his father's teachings in his heart - work above all else, independence and the desire to succeed.
And so it was: different companies, meat and fish restaurants, with a single common thread - quality, passion and sacrifice. Today, Danilo leads a team of over 100 people. A true success story that moved us.
We had to interrupt the story to dedicate ourselves - with great pleasure - to tasting a fish menu worthy of the best restaurants in Gallipoli: magnificently presented dishes, authentic flavours, impeccable service.
The only regret? Not being able to participate in the fish auction that TIPORTO organizes from Friday to Sunday evening: a unique event that, as Danilo told us, makes this place even more special.
TIPORTO in Monza is a restaurant where the sea takes shape between the dishes and the people. Highly recommended!

I went there with friends, welcoming place, friendly waiters, the fried food, both in quality and quantity, I would say very poor and overpriced. The first time and I would say also the last time.

Very nice place, interesting dishes between tradition and innovation.
We have been there a couple of times and tried:
- prawn cevice starter, a mix of explosive flavours...excellent.
- Sicilian-style scialatielli, challenging...
- excellent zola mussel sauté
- more delicate mussel sauté with mojito
- half a meter of mixed fry, dry and good, two of us struggled to finish, but we had also ordered the sautés beforehand.
What can I say, we will be back to try the other dishes...
It satisfied us greatly!

Very nice place, with a maritime theme, very fast service and very attentive and friendly waiters....good food and beautiful to look at....the auction they hold to sell dishes to the nicest and noisiest table is also nice......recommended
