We found this place by chance and it was a pleasant surprise. Cristian gave us excellent service, and knowing we didn't speak Italian, he made an effort to explain every dish on the menu. The food was delicious. We would definitely return.

Here I've had the best pasta dishes I have ever eaten. I ate the tagliatelle with courgette flowers, porcini mushrooms cherry tomatoes and pecorino and the paccheri with artichokes.
The staff was very nice and welcoming, especially Labo. She was extremely sweet and made the best non-alcoholic strawberry mojito. 🫶
I usually tend to try as many restaurants as possible on a trip, but I had to come back and eat here again while still in Rome!

If you are looking for traditional Roman food in a pleasant restaurant combining quality and good value, look no further. C'era una volta was just a block from our AirBnB apartment. We stumbled upon it our first day in Rome and liked it so much that we ended up taking half our meals there. We especially liked focaccia with insalata di mare as an antipasto followed by pasta with funghi porcini and then, as a secondo, costata al pepe verde. We had dessert in the gelateria just down the street.

Excellent hospitality. The place is simple and welcoming. A wide selection of pizzas, pizza tortillas, pasta dishes, main courses, etc. The quality of the food is excellent, as almost everything is homemade, from the pasta to the seafood. The staff is very kind, friendly, and professional.

The pizza was truly excellent, with fast and friendly service. The problem is that the restaurant doesn't have a designated parking lot, and finding a spot nearby is a real struggle.

Esperienza fantastica... abbiamo visto questo posto su Tiktok e incuriositi abbiamo deciso di provarlo,non potevamo fare scelta migliore. Ciò che ci ha colpito di più oltre al servizio accogliente e gentile delle ragazze e dei ragazzi, è stata la Pasta allo scoglio, mai mangiata di così buona!

Roma, dopo una lunga giornata su e giù per la città il nostro hotel ci consiglia questo ristorante e decido di ascoltare il consiglio. Accolti benissimo dal ragazzi e da donna Carmela ci accordiamo e subito siamo immersi nella romanitá. Diego consiglia al meglio tant'è che mangiamo divinamente. La amatriciana e la carbonara da urlo.
