A place just around the corner from the Airbnb we rented. Overall not bad. The food and wine was very good. However, the service was a bit strange. For a tiny place like this, we had to wait for quite a bit. The impression was, that it's a family business but with poor communication. Prices are higher than in the south of the island but expected for the locality.

From starter to dessert, everything was perfect. The dishes are precise, accomplished, a real pleasure for the taste buds. The recommended wine was delicious. We will be back with pleasure! Go for it!

I stumbled upon this place by chance, craving a treat, and this place truly gave me what I needed: simple cuisine with refined details, just the right portions... friendly and attentive service, talking to the chef and discovering that this place is family-run made me even more satisfied with my choice.

Yesterday (October 4, 2025), we dined at Francesco's restaurant "C'era una Volta" in Palau. We were pleasantly surprised by the exquisite dishes prepared in an innovative way. As gourmets, we enjoy eating out, and it's always worth a bit of extra expense. Francesco's food was excellent, and the prices were very attractive for the quality offered.
We wish more people would enjoy this restaurant's fine cuisine, and we recommend it wholeheartedly!

The food was fantastic. It was fresh and very well-seasoned. The chef, who also served, speaks excellent English and is also personable, and there's a very large selection to order from. I highly recommend it.

We've eaten there four times now. Great food, a wonderful surprise each time. The word "delicious" is an understatement. We'll be eating there again on the two remaining days we're here. It's always a highlight of the evening. Great attentive service, good wine recommendations. And of course, great food takes a bit of time. Attached are pictures of the beautifully presented dishes. You can't get better for this price.
