Very kind and nice place, but honestly I expected something more delicious in the appetizers

Expensive for the quality and quantity of food.

We came to eat at Grillo specifically, driving a 30-minute car ride with our exhausted children just to eat some good fish. And I must say, the fish was truly excellent! We were greeted by a middle-aged man (Federico, the owner), extremely empathetic and friendly. After a quick exchange about his habits in the North, where we come from, he expertly recommended two very good dishes for us to share. I should note that Federico immediately told us that our youngest son was his guest and would be free of charge. There was a long wait for the dishes, but it was worth it; everything was good and fresh. Then, we were forgotten. I tried to ask the waiters several times (bread, water, menus for other dishes) but I noticed a great deal of disorganization and tiredness. And the place wasn't crowded. After eating our second round of orders, we ran away, partly because the kids were tired and partly because we felt forgotten, especially by Federico, who only reappeared after we'd paid (EVERYTHING, no discounts for the kid). So, I'd recommend this place for the fish, which is truly delicious (and well-priced, anyway), but there's a lot to be done with table service. Overall rating: 4 stars.

Not a particularly positive experience! We came for dinner at the suggestion of a friend, but we immediately ran into trouble. *LOCATION* 7 Very flashy. Perhaps too flashy, to the point of clashing with the surrounding landscape, giving the impression of a place more suited to ceremonies than a romantic dinner. *SETTING* 7 Beautifully set with a cloth tablecloth and napkins. Designer glasses. *SERVICE* 3 Even though the place was almost empty and it was a weekday, the staff seemed so interested in serving only one table that after more than half an hour of indifference, I stood up to indicate I was leaving. At that point, we were served. *MENU* 6+ Exclusively digital, perhaps a little too complicated to look at, especially after a day of travel and work stress. Few dishes were offered to the public (but this certainly indicates the freshness of the products), but there was no distinction between land and sea. *FOOD* 7 The fried calamari and shrimp were decidedly good. The same could be said for the grilled vegetables (although I sent the dish back to the kitchen due to the very small quantity served!). *BEVERAGE* 4 Failure to be stylish: 13 wines and only 1 beer... Nastro Azzurro! *BILL* 6 Fried food (thrifty) €20. Nastro Azzurro €5. Let's just say that for Trebisacce, it's a bit high... *CONSIDERATIONS* Certainly, if we had been treated with a little more attention and a few more smiles, no one would have noticed the prices and the wait. The indifference toward the customer (me), the superficiality shown (toward me), and the decidedly ungenerous dishes... further highlighted the utter disinterest in a new customer. And, believe me, there's nothing worse than leaving the table in a bad mood.

Excellent quality food cooked in a masterly way, welcoming staff and super central location just a stone's throw from the sea and the pier. Highly recommended!

In questo posto regna l’accoglienza con la A maiuscola! Abbiamo provato a prenotare un tavolo ma il primo turno era al completo. Ci hanno consigliato di passare direttamente dal ristorante dalle 14:15 in poi di modo che avrebbero fatto in modo di sistemarci. Nell’attesa ci è stato offerto del prosecco e degli sgabelli vista mare. L’attesa è stata veramente breve ed è stato esaudito anche il nostro desiderio di pranzare all’aperto anziché in sala. Ottime pietanze servite da uno staff attento e gentile. Super consigliato!

Giornata splendida,festa di compleanno,posto trovato da federico a miracolo senza prenotazione,pesce sempre TOP e mo' SI BALLA!!! GRAZIE A TUTTO LO STAFF!!
