I have been coming to Calabria for 30 years and I have found very few places like this so far. This place, which is a gem, is nestled in the splendid streets of Badolato. Few tables, away from the crowd, with spectacular views. Ate very well, with genuine flavors thanks to the high quality raw materials. Friendly but discreet staff. Thank you so much, I needed a dinner like this! Very honest price for what is offered!

Restaurant located in an ancient and rustic setting in Badolato, with a suggestive view, with a fixed menu of meat or fish for 40 euros (wines and drinks excluded). The dishes served (two appetizers, a first course, a second course and a dessert) are an explosion of local flavors, prepared with love and wisdom by the chef and served with love and courtesy by the owners. Everything is excellent, in the right quantities (there are no tavern portions, nor even gourmet portions) and you leave happy and satisfied,

Romantic setting and informal staff in what is certainly one of the most cult restaurants in Badolato. Chef Ciro offers a fixed menu, mainly fish, two appetizers, a first course, a second course and dessert to taste concrete and sincere cuisine that remains in the mouth. The wine list is limited, we paired it with a wonderful Cirò phemina. The fixed menu costs forty euros excluding drinks. An experience to remember for the cuisine, the convivial spirit, the unique location and the affectionate and present management.

A truly unique experience. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are dining at a castle. The food is prepared at the "five star" level. Service is impeccable.

Posto molto suggestivo nella parte antica di questo meraviglioso paese. Cibo di qualità e ricercatezza, serizio competente e cortese, veloce ed efficiente, chef molto simpatico e disponibile ad assecondare ove possibile le richieste dei clienti. Insoma, da provare!

The environment is fantastic, created from the rooms of an ancient cellar and a small terrace overlooking an enchanting valley. The menu is not like a classic restaurant: there is no menu to choose from, but five courses are served daily based on daily availability, almost always fish or meat if fish is not available and always cooked with originality. I can say excellent having tried them both.
The cost in July 2024 was 40 euros for the five courses excluding water and wine.

We are in love with Badolato, and this restaurant is one of the reasons why. The tasting menu was so delicious my husband had to restrain himself from licking the plate. All five courses delighted us. One of the best parts for me was that the food was complex and flavorful, yet not heavy. I’m an American and eating at 9 at night kills my heartburn, but because this menu was prepared to focus on flavor and not on fatty sauces, I went to bed and did not have one second of heartburn. That is a miracle.
The chef has a different tasting menu each night but is prepared to delight with other dishes, especially for food allergies and preferences. We had the best yellowfin tuna crudo I’ve ever had anywhere, roasted octopus in a chickpea sauce, pasta with swordfish and cherry tomatoes, cod with roasted potatoes and peppers and a ricotta cheese crumble for dessert. Chiro, the chef, is a magician. How he can keep a meal light and still serve a full pasta course defies logic. Luigi, the front of the house, dellighted us with generous service and looked after our every need.
The room itself is beyond charming. The back table for 2 is the most requested spot because it’s like you have your own small cave to have a romantic dinner. We read about people driving an hour to have dinner here, and now we know why. Well done.

Fantastic discovery: top location (we are inside a renovated and attention to detail catojo). Welcomed by the owner, a knowledgeable and professional person, we immediately received instructions on the menu.
Lunch: a unique experience. Appearance, truly exceptional mix of flavours. Difficult to describe. All accompanied by the Chef's direct explanation (which we skip)
Highly recommended place.
