Castello Vicchiomaggio In Greve in chianti

Absolutely stunning!!! We didn't do the wine tasting here but were able to grab a bite to eat and ordered a bottle of wine in their stunning restaurant. The grounds here were simply amazing and the views were breathtaking. We had a bottle of their chianti classico and wow!!! The wine was out of this world and very reasonably priced. We also ordered a couple of pasta here and both were very good. Overall, a great place! Highly recommend

My husband and I had our wedding there in late September without seeing the castle before. We were blown away of the service, the beauty, and food and wine! Everything was just amazing and we are already looking to return and relive some of those memories. We even hosted a wine tasting the day after the wedding and our guests absolutely loved it! We couldn't recommend it more and if you can make a stop here on your adventures, DO IT, you will not regret it.

My girlfriend and I stay here every time we visit the Florence area. It is our favorite place to stay in all of Italy. I would highly recommend staying and eating at Castello Vicchiomaggio for anyone. The beauty and romance in the setting are incomparable.

We had our Wedding at Castello Vicchiomaggio 2 weeks ago and want to the venue was absolutely incredible. From the beautiful, historic castle, to the attentive and friendly staff, to the gorgeous views, the stay and event were beyond our wildest expectations. The property is so well-maintained and the infinity pool delivers a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside. The food jumped out to us as a key highlight - every meal from breakfast on was delicious. Not to mention the incredible wine! Anyone looking for a wedding venue in Tuscany should look at Castello Vicchiomaggio - it was the best backdrop to our special day and many of the guests have told us it was one of the most beautiful weddings they've attended. We could not recommend it enough - whether you are hosting a wedding or looking for a relaxing place to stay in the area. Will definitely be back, probably on our wedding anniversary!

Ideal for an escape from everyday stress... we stayed at the Castle for a relaxing weekend and we also chose to live the experience of tasting their wine. Excellent welcome and a visit to the vineyard and cellars is absolutely worth doing, they will explain many interesting things to you and finally you can taste 4 glasses of their wines. The location at the top of the hills is worth a stop, we stayed overnight and had dinner in their restaurant. We felt pampered at all times, congratulations to the Matta family and their staff!

The location is very beautiful and evocative, we only had dinner but we were not impressed. Traditional dishes revisited, good but nothing special given the cost. Professional and welcoming service.

I didn't stay here unfortunately, I had a cellar tour by a very knowledgeable young lady and lunch with wine tasting. The grounds are beautiful and the service is outstanding and everyone is so nice and helpful.

Absolutely amazing experience. We did a wine tour prior to checking in that was so much fun, informative, and delicious! Great food at the restaurant, the room was clean with a stunning view. Wish we would have booked more nights!!

Best place we went in all of italy. Extremely relaxing the pool was amazing. The room was also HUGE! We felt like we had our own castle.

Just WOW! Cecilia our tour guide of the day was such a lovely person , and the person at the reception who helped us with the taxi! We experience an amazing gastronomic lunch together with lovely staff!
