Castello San Gaudenzio In Cervesina

From the outside, you can probably only visit it if you are a guest.

Breakfast is nothing special. The room in the main fortress is authentic, but requires renovation. The hotel itself is in an impressive location, has a park, and the authenticity of the fortress has been maintained in the spacious spaces.

A beautiful castle with beautiful outdoor parks. The room was large, the bed was comfortable to sleep in with a beautiful view of the park, which is beautifully decorated. The bathroom had a comfortable shower and bidet. The staff was very friendly both at the reception and in the restaurant-bistro. The food was excellently prepared and served. The breakfast was rich and delicious. The private parking was also a big plus.

We had a dream weekend. A long, enchanting stay, with professional and impeccable service. The rooms are beautiful, and the Dama restaurant is delicious. We recommend it without hesitation. We'll be back as soon as possible.

Wonderful place! The rooms are in an older style but in keeping with the character of the castle. Still clean and fresh with good AC. The garden is wonderfully well-kept and cozy. All staff were accommodating and solution-oriented. We arrived just before breakfast closed so for understandable reasons it was a bit picked over. What was left was fantastically delicious! The lunch in the bistro was also incredibly good

If you’re looking for some old world luxury and calmness, this is your place. The food is excellent! And the staff super friendly.

Had the pleasure of staying one night as a stop and what a beautiful stay! Bedrooms have stunning view to a well looked after garden, everything was clean and new, breakfast was delicious - shout out to pistachio croissant and impeccable espresso! Will def be back. Grazie 🙏

We were on our way back from a short family trip for our youngest daughter's 16th birthday, even with our dog. We stumbled across the castle by chance on a booking portal; it was on offer. This was preceded by a uniquely horrific experience in La Spezia. The children were demotivated and feared further Italian tourist rip-offs. At that point, they never wanted to go back to Italy. The Castello unexpectedly offered us an opportunity to make amends. Everything may be older, but for all four of us it was simply soothing. We cannot understand some of the reviews we have read here. The rooms were clean, quiet, well-maintained, the staff were friendly and unobtrusive, the mattresses and pillows were comfortable, the rain shower was great and the shower room smelled good. The breakfast was plentiful, although there was less choice of cold cuts than elsewhere. But there was honey straight from the honeycomb. And with delicious local cheeses, various croutons, plenty of cereals, and even a fresh salad. The staff was attentive and polite. A 5-minute egg was prepared immediately upon request, cooked to perfection. We didn't use the restaurant for dinner; we all just wanted a simple Italian pizza with a local beer. We got that in the neighboring village. After the official closing time, the guys there fired up the oven again for us. Unheard of in Germany (unfortunately). The children wanted to eat at the Castello, so we took the pizzas back to their rooms. No one looked at us strangely. The best dinner in a long time. Our children were happy again and pro-Italia. And... our dog, too, was relaxed in these parts, unlike his experience in La Spezia. And he was able to run freely in the park, at a safe distance from others. Simply soothing. At racing events at the nearby race track, this is sure to be a special experience and a good choice for those with the right budget. Blessed are those who have it. Thank you for allowing us to use it in this way.
