Castello di Petrata In Assisi

We had our wedding at this incredible venue over the weekend of October 16–18, and it was absolutely perfect! We had over 100 guests, and the space was ideal, spacious, elegant, and perfectly arranged for everyone. Initially, we were a bit worried about the weather, but everything turned out beautifully. Even when it got chilly in the evenings, the venue had a lovely indoor space for the party actually, two fantastic spaces, one for Friday night and another for Saturday. A huge thank you to Giorgia, our amazing wedding planner, and her brothers who manage the venue. Giorgia not only helped bring all my visions to life from making adjustments on a specific wedding cake flavor to finding the best vendors for every detail but she also kept me calm throughout the entire planning process, always there when I needed her and answering every question. On Friday evening, we had the pleasure of a special DJ set that had all our guests dancing all night long! The food was absolutely AMAZING 100 out of 10! The location was breathtaking, and even though we had events throughout the weekend, the venue provided a new space or area for each one. Our guests loved discovering a new part of the venue each time it made the weekend feel so special and dynamic. We couldn’t have asked for a better team or a more beautiful venue for our wedding weekend

What a magical place. We were there for a wedding and the organization is just on point, professional yet somehow you almost feel like they are part of the family. All events were well orchestrated and the food was devine, something to please everyone. The Castello is beautiful with vines growing all over the walls, flowers and trees of all sorts naturally groomed, many different spaces and activities including pool table tennis and a pool. The only down side is the stink bugs, harmless but annoying but part of being in nature. HIGHLY recommend ❣️

We stayed here as part of a wedding party, choosing the “glamping” option for accommodation. The venue is truly amazing, the grounds are beautiful, and the amenities are great. The pool was fantastic, as was the small Finnish sauna, jacuzzi, and steam room attached to the wellness centre. Our only hiccup came with the bell tent we stayed in, which was poorly set up with frayed ropes that ended up breaking, and with staff not attending to fix the tent despite being asked, due to no doubt other busy tasks — unfortunately it meant we had puddles of water inside our tent when arriving back late from the celebrations, with the tent walls also drooping over the mattress in an unpleasant way. Guests shouldn’t be left to try to create improvised fixes in the middle of the night…

One of the most amazing places I've ever been. The views, the serenity, the staff, everything is first class at Castello Di Petratra. The pool was clean and refreshing, the food was delicious (I recommend the spaghetti with olive oil and garlic) the drinks were perfect, and the rooms were a delight. We stayed in the Lavande suite out back and it was everything we needed and then some. On top of all that.. the wedding we attended here was a 10/10. If you're in the area I highly recommend getting to this place!

Everything was amazing. Perfect wedding venue. Top notch service, beautiful well kept grounds, comfortable rooms. Wedding was definitely top notch in every aspect.

A wonderful place. Our room was very spacious and had a spectacular view of the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. When we arrived, the suite was already air-conditioned and ready for occupancy. The staff was very attentive and professional. The area surrounding the main house offers many options, and the care taken with maintenance is noticeable. Two very special days spent in this paradise. Congratulations!

Room was ok, but for over €300 a night we feel it was definitely not worth the price. It needs a lot of maintenance and it was very noisy and cramped for a family of 4. We could hear everyone else moving around and using their bathrooms. The bathroom needed updating, dirty grout and verde gris pipes (looks nice but not hygienic) noisy toilets, no hot water when we needed showers, loose pipes, missing toilet chain flush. There was also a really annoying flashing light for the smoke detector which kept me awake at night. Insufficient charging points and the fridge wasn't even plugged in. The reception staff were friendly and helpful but the serving staff were mostly quite rude. One spilt a drink which we y over our disabled relative and the server neither apologised or attempted to clean it up, we ended up having to sort it and move to another table. The pool was nice though the pool ladder was not properly attached and was dangerous (this resulted in an injury). It was raised to the hotel staff who came to look at it and agreed it didn't look good but nothing was done to fix it the entire time we were there. The whole place is plagued by Wasps, they were all over the food and bothering everyone during drinks. I would have liked to see something to attempt to control this. The setting is utterly stunning for a wedding and luckily the bride and groom had an amazing time. The food was also lovely but for the price they charge the guests,we expected a more luxurious experience

The bed was comfortable and clean. However the floor boards are noisy,could be heard in surrounding rooms. The air conditioning unit temperature was not adjustable.There was no USB charging points. They shower was good, the bathroom toilet seat was very loose. The sink waste pipes in copper and bronze need cleaning as it was covered in verdigris.

What a magical place. Everything was perfect and the wedding went smoothly thanks to the wonderful staff! Thank you so much for a beautiful two days :)

The castle is charming, beautiful, everything is so beautiful. But communicating with them is a nightmare; they don't respond.
