Between history, legend, and fine dining. Cascina Roland is a stop I highly recommend to anyone in the Susa Valley. It's a place where history is palpable in every corner, starting with the legend of the Orlando boulder that gives the building its name. The restoration of this ancient fortified house was done with great taste. It's wonderful to see how they've preserved the charm of the stone and wood, creating a rustic yet meticulously crafted atmosphere. The outdoor spaces are spacious and perfect for relaxing, with a picturesque view of the surrounding mountains. The atmosphere is convivial and authentic, a far cry from the coldness of city eateries. It's the ideal place for those seeking a solid dining experience, rooted in Piedmontese traditions, in a setting that seems to have stood still in time. Although the welcome is warm, during peak periods (like Sunday lunchtime), service can be a bit slow, but the beauty of the setting helps you be patient. Prices are fair and in line with the quality offered. In short: a beautiful location, a blast from the past with the comforts of the present. Perfect for a day trip or a hearty dinner in a charming setting.

We came for a Valentine's Day dinner for two. The food was truly delicious; each dish was carefully crafted and delicate, compliments to the chef. The portions were perfect, allowing us to enjoy the entire multi-course menu at our leisure. The location was very well-designed, with Valentine's Day-themed decorations and a beautiful setting. The price was excellent. They also put on a lovely show that accompanied us between courses. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly. If I had to comment, perhaps the cheesecake, although very good, was a bit heavy as a last choice after such a long menu.

Four of us went for lunch today for the first time. Everyone was satisfied with the dishes from the à la carte menu and the excellent local rosé wine (Condove). As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with courtesy and kindness, and at our table, with two bottles of water already present, we were offered a glass of prosecco with pretzels and fried vegetables. The timing was adequate for the large number of customers at the various tables. The dishes were of excellent quality and plentiful. The prices were more than fair. Everything was great! I'll gladly return in the spring to also enjoy the animal park included in the property.
