Excellent quality Brescian food, friendly and attentive service. I find it a shame that we weren't given a menu with the prices of the dishes (we didn't ask for one, and it was offered verbally).
But we paid what we deserved and will gladly return.

Characteristic place of Gussago. Restaurant that offers various types of dishes of traditional Brescian cuisine. The main dish is the spit.
I have eaten many in my life but the one last night will remain memorable. Truly exceptional. During the week it is not too crowded in summer and you can relax with a beautiful view while dining on the veranda.

I would have expected a little more, cotechino should be cooked a little more, usually it should not release blood, chicken not transcendental, ribs overcooked and maybe a little salt almost at the end of cooking helps with the flavor. Russian salad exceptional, appetizer average. Very kind staff, beautiful location, but improvable, the 70s-80s wood-like straw chairs are now unsightly, floor needs to be redone. To say that I would go back... certainly not immediately.
In this typical Brescian trattoria located on the Gussaghesi hills you will find a simple and unfussy family-run environment. Here time seems to have stopped, but it is their strong point because it perfectly reflects the tradition of the trattoria. On the menu you will find typical traditional dishes such as skewers, casoncelli, rabbit and grilled meat, all served quickly and abundantly. We have been frequenting it for years also for take-away and have always found it very good. The prices are absolutely honest. Reservations are recommended on weekends.

Found by chance....but we couldn't have made a better choice: you sit down and order within 2 minutes....fast service, abundant dishes and everything delicious from appetizer to dessert. Don't underestimate the bill: you spend little and eat a lot!!!
