Casamatta In Taormina

Simply wonderful. Small, tranquil alley, small chairs and tables made from wine crates in front of it, rustically furnished inside - what was promised visually was even exceeded by the wine. We're not big wine connoisseurs, we said we like a dry Lugana - he recommended a local wine. In short: the best we have ever drunk. We also ate a bruschetta, the selection was limited because not all the ingredients were available in winter (so everything is fresh!) - but still a very good little piece of bread for a reasonable €2.50. Hidden gem of Taormina, worlds apart from the 99% tourist trap scene in town. Natural wines from around Sicily, reasonably priced focaccia, salads, and snacks, very laid back atmosphere, not trying to be anything but a relaxed wine bar.

Great off the beaten track bar with bar food. Few different wines by the glass and the bar staff are keen for you to try to make sure you like them (all were rather good).Friendly and professional staff - great chilled atmosphere- what else could you want!

Absolutely beautiful place a bit off the touristy commercial beaten track - excellent natural wines expertly selected and wines that fully express their terroir and their birth. Highly recommended, not pretentious and down to the earth - sit outside in the little benches under the vines/leaves. GO

special chill wine bar. I had a friend tell me I’d love this spot and was really humbled by the nice orange wine, casual vibe yet considered pours. Took my mum, she bloody loved it and slowly got around to trying natural wines. I hope to return eventually :))

Delicious cocktails - we drank the classics, Old Fashioned and Negroni, but the menu also includes interesting variations. Relaxed atmosphere, nice atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of Corso Umberto.

Great food, friendly staff. A very pleasant place to spend an evening with friends or meet new people.
