Excellent wine bar in a lovely alley in Taormina - close to everything but away from the crowds and chaos. The selection of wines were excellent and the guidance/recommendations from the manager were spot on. You can tell he loves his job as we watched sit down with several patrons to walk them through their selections. He shared the origins and details of the wine, explained all the flavors, was transparent about what was and was not worth the price. His pride in Sicily, its culture, food and wine is palpable. One of our favorite spots in the very beautiful but crowded city.

Casamatta is a little gem away from the tourist bustle of Taormina: an authentic atmosphere, an excellent selection of natural wines, and a knowledgeable staff make for a pleasant and relaxing evening. If you appreciate a simple yet refined approach, a glass of quality wine, and an intimate setting, it's worth the price. The experience is well worth the extra few euros. If you're looking for great gourmet cuisine or a children's menu, you might want to consider something else.

Delicious wine with a knowledgeable guide! Really loved the location and the wine. The food was a little lackluster but that’s alright. Have dinner first and then come here for a nightcap!

Very cool place. Stands out in Taormina. Great wine selection. Food looked good but we didn't try it. However be mindful of the waiter (the owner?) -- we found him passionate, but also drunk & pretentious.

26/10/2025: A wonderful experience at this establishment. We ate lunch there after arriving from the boat and returned in the evening because we were delighted. The pane cunzato is exceptional and the lady who runs the restaurant is super nice; she made a real effort to chat with us, who are beginners in Italian.
25/10/2025: A relaxing moment in a very pleasant setting, great authentic cuisine!

08/03/2026: My experience at Siciliana 2.0 was simply spectacular. From the very first moment, the attention to detail is evident: the atmosphere is welcoming, modern, and has that Sicilian touch that invites you to relax and enjoy. The pizza is, without exaggeration, one of the best I've ever tasted. The dough is perfectly fermented, light and crispy on the outside, with an incredible flavor. The ingredients are noticeably fresh and of high quality, and the combinations are very well thought out. Every bite demonstrates a passion for authentic Italian pizza. 🍕 The service was wonderful. I'm Spanish, and they treated me wonderfully despite some initial language difficulties. 100% recommended
