Osteria Nuova In Torino

Very nice place with a nice atmosphere. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive to customers. We took a tasting menu (starter, first course, second course and dessert) and an à la carte starter, first course and dessert. The food is good, but there was nothing that made us go "wow". For the price and the reviews we had read we expected more from the food, stronger and more surprising flavours. The portions are a little small and the prices medium/high.

Osteria in name, but in fact a pleasant and comfortable place that offers excellent quality food with dishes that respect tradition. Congratulations to all the staff for their professionalism, availability and kindness in satisfying customer requests. Personally, we had such a good time and liked the cuisine on offer that we returned twice for dinner. Excellent quality/price ratio in relation to the quality of the products offered. Preferable to book. Recommended, being in the area.

A friend and I were looking for a restaurant serving typical Piedmontese cuisine and we were quite satisfied. We ate the tasting menu and it was a fantastic culinary experience. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful experience, from all points of view. Highly trained staff, extensive and excellent wine list. Regarding the dishes...well, any positive comment would be an understatement, you have to try it. The tasting menu is truly perfect, but don't deprive yourself of the tartare, AMAZING. And the braised meat, I was about to ask for 6 more dishes... definitely worth trying again!!!

My boyfriend and I went to this place for a special occasion. We are both Piedmontese and lovers of our traditional cuisine and we were absolutely satisfied. This place is perfect for those looking for a place in the quiet centre, with a relaxed and very pleasant environment, furnished and renovated very well, to my tastes. We took an appetizer each, plus a second appetizer to share, and a second course of meat each: all delicious! Also large and excellent selection of wines. Staff really nice, friendly, attentive and helpful. Good value for money. I will definitely be back!

I tried the Sinoira snack, an aperitif with typical Piedmontese dishes and more, plus a cocktail or glass of wine. Modest quantity, excellent quality. Fair price, excellent service. I will definitely come back to try dinner :)

Sono stato con familiari per una laurea. Bel posto rustico e molto curato. Antipasto polenta molto gustosa. Secondo sottofiletto cotto perfettamente. Mix di dolci a base di cioccolato e crema di noci. Molto bene.

Le vinerie con ristorazione di Torino tentano – quale più, quale meno – di rinverdire il clima delle antiche osterie, che da queste parti erano dette “piole”. Locali da vino con pane e salame, preferibilmente nel pomeriggio tardo, per chiacchierare, svagarsi sul filo della malinconia mista a ironia. Le moderne enoteche sostituiscono quella tradizione (che sopravvive in poche situazioni di nicchia) anche se il clima è cambiato, nella trasformazione sociale del tessuto cittadino e nella successione generazionale. Lì non troverete qualcuno che strimpella una chitarra, chansonnier più o meno improvvisati, giovani che vogliono cambiare il mondo. A pochi passi dalla stazione di Porta Nuova c’è un’enoteca con cucina che ha recentemente cambiato gestione, ampliando il locale e mantenendo l’arredamento vagamente d’antan. Ora si chiama Osteria nuova. Con un guizzo di fantasia hanno rilanciato una usanza tipica piemontese: la merenda sinoira. Nella loro promozione sostengono (non senza buone ragioni) che l’apericena oggi tanto di moda altro non è che una traduzione della merenda che si consumava nelle piole e che ben poteva sostituire la cena. All’Osteria Nuova si mangia cena dalle 19.00, mentre dalle 17.30 alle 19.00 si può avere la merenda sinoira. Incuriositi, l’abbiamo provata. Ottima esperienza. C’è la scelta del vino al calice. Noi abbiamo preso un meraviglioso Nebbiolo biologico. A un prezzo davvero contenuto si può avere un tagliere “a piani” con antipasti tipici, salumi e formaggi: guardate la foto. Da acquolina in bocca. All’assaggio la conferma. La giardiniera è tra le migliori che ricordi, il vitello tonnato è buono, tomino al verde stuzzicante, tutto il resto piacevole. Si termina con un buon caffè. Soddisfatti, la cena è assorbita… anche perché è la sera dello scontro Sinner-Djokovic (che, purtroppo, dovremo accontentarci di vedere in tv).
