A quaint and very popular place. I found a table, but all the items on the menu were unavailable. The cheeses served with honey and mustard were excellent, the cured meats were top-notch, and the porchetta was excellent. The waiter, though professional, maintained an attitude I didn't appreciate.
The tripe parmigiana was excellent, as were the desserts.

A place waiting to be discovered, its soul hidden inside, amidst the slightly dated furnishings and the stove that warms you almost as much as the lady's grappa. You'll find a spartan yet authentic welcome, sublime cured meats and cheeses, phenomenal polenta, and sandwiches that can even resurrect the dead. Generous portions and prices that are hard to find anywhere else!

It's often worth choosing the "old-fashioned" roads to head to the mountains; the pleasure of slow travel allows you to glimpse unexpected landscapes. You can take a break to admire the view and enjoy a snack of traditional foods.
It's worth reflecting on modernity and its connotations of practicality and speed, which can often preclude the enjoyment of other pleasures...

A typical trattoria of yesteryear, serving traditional dishes of unique delicacy.
The staff is friendly and attentive to their customers.
There's a counter selling traditional cheeses and cured meats with the flavors of times gone by.
We had the skewered meat, which was delicious, accompanied by generous side dishes.
The prices are more than fair considering the selection.
You can't help but stop by.

As a native of Cadore, this is one of my absolute favorite places in the entire province of Belluno and a must-visit for a post-sports afternoon in Alpago. Authentic, old-fashioned fare: heavenly sandwiches, king-size dishes, good wine and beer, great prices, and wonderful people running a simple, down-to-earth place where you always feel at home... and you can even take their amazing local products home with you!
What more could you ask for?
