Lovely place to have our final holiday lunch. The pasta dishes were divine.

We discovered this lovely, typical little restaurant. We were impressed from the start. Guests are warmly welcomed here. The service is very friendly, and they cater to guests' every need. The dishes are delicious and freshly prepared. You feel completely at home, and we can only recommend it. We had a pleasant evening. We'll be back.

Four evenings in San Mauro, two of which we had dinner at Casa dei Romagnoli. We'd passed it many times over the years, but we'd never stopped because it seemed like a place with unreasonable prices. Instead, the prices were average, and I FINALLY got to eat a gluten-free fritto misto. Maybe a little too salty for my taste, but I was so happy to be able to eat gluten-free fried food and piadina without worrying about getting sick. All washed down with a good Sangiovese! My daughter was thrilled with the chicken cutlet, and my husband with the fish entree. So, what can I say? I'm glad I asked if they had gluten-free options, because searching online for San Mauro Mare doesn't bring up any options, but they do have quite a few. The only thing we weren't thrilled with was that some of the tables are practically on the street, and with all the people/vehicles passing by (though I think it's a limited traffic zone because very few cars pass by in the evening), it's not very pleasant to dine in. Anyway, it's definitely a place worth trying!

Spectacular piadina! The real Romagna!

We spent an evening with friends. The week of August 15th, we weren't happy; in fact, we were very disappointed. Romagna cuisine is exceptional. I've eaten at any restaurant in San Mauro, and I've eaten divinely. But this place, which is called "the house of Romagna," disappointed us. We expected something more. The service was inattentive; you always had to ask for things twice. I'm not even talking about the quality of the food, because everything was good, but one dish was truly nonexistent. The calamari, a €15 dish, was presented to me with two two-centimeter pieces; I couldn't even taste it, just the smell. I'm not asking for a whole calamari, for goodness sake, but at least let me taste it, only to be told at the cashier, "Oh, but that's how we do it." And we realized it, "Thank you." I'm sorry, but having been a regular in San Mauro for several years, I will avoid this place in future years. It can improve, it just takes a little.

A small summer trattoria with outdoor seating, 200 meters from the beach. The cuisine is typical of Romagna, with traditional fish and meat dishes. Children's menus and dogs are welcome. For four of us, we ate mixed crostini, mussel sauté, and mixed skewers as appetizers. Our first choices were seafood passatelli and cappelletti with ragù. No main course, but for dessert, a donut with warm cream and a zuppa inglese with caramel and chili pepper. Two bottles of wine, a dry Albana and a Sangiovese. Everything was delicious. Background music and... let's get dancing! We returned on Wednesday evening for the Dancing Sirens show, a group of young men and women who are excellent at every ballroom dance, led by Mirko at the turntable, upholding the tradition of Liscio Rolagnolo. They were also excellent at engaging the guests at the tables. The food was as good as last time, and we had a great time.

A guarantee, absolutely worth trying if you come to the area!
